Thanks to our sister site TFW2005 for the heads up on the next volume in The Art Of Massive Black series. The Art Of Massive Black Volume 2 features some designs from GI Joe! Some of these designs have been posted here before, while some may not have. Some of these designs are from 2008 and would later be used in GI Joe series such as Renegade and Pursuit Of Cobra. Some remain unused.
These designs include what looks to be early designs for the Jungle Viper, different variations of the Bio Viper and of course, different versions of Snake Eyes. Other characters as well as vehicles are shown too.
Read on to take a gander. If you like what you see, you can order it from Amazon!

WOW awesome renderings.
Why can't we get figures like this? Too awesome for Hasblo to produce.

I wish they could get an animation group like the one who did Ghost in the shell to animate these concepts...the cartoon would rule...no stupid stylized crap...just pure translation to animation from these concept drawings...and then translate those to $25-$30 figures...id buy everyone of them...

I wish we could get toys that looked like that. I wouldn't collect anything else. I'd be too busy playing with those guys. I love how they rendered RB to look like Terry Crews. They have such a better handle on what Joe should be, even their "casting" looks more accurate. Lol.

Personally, I like the scifi bent, especially the Bio-Viper concepts. The "power armor" concepts seen on Roadblock and Lady Jaye are also VERY interesting.
