A couple of days ago, Hisstank.com forum member YT74 shared a bit of news that may bum you out…well, that is, if you’re a fan and collector of Sideshow collectibles G.I.Joe Figures, Statues and Environments.
Sideshow has announced that they will not have any new offerings on display at San Diego Comic Con 2014. Check it out –
“Sorry to disappoint GI Joe fans with this but there will not be any GI Joe news at SDCC this year. Hopefully something in 2015!”-SSC Alex
Does this mean the line will be on a long hiatus at Sideshow? Only time will tell, but there’s still hope for next year as noted by Alex from SSC! Join us after the break for ongoing discussion already in progress.

For those that don't have experience with Sideshow, typically when they announce a line is on hiatus it usually means the end of the line.

Wow. Well, that sucks. I wasn't full on into SS, but I figured they were doing well enough with GI Joe that it would continue. Geez.

They got some of the most iconic figures done, and some second stringers too, so it can't be that much of a surprise.

Hopefully something in 2015? Aint that a kick in the Joe nutz!

Time to hang up GI Joe for a while I guess...

SS doesn't produce a lot of Joe figs each year. Nothing at SDCC probably means nothing for the rest of 2014. How does that mean good old "death of teh line?"
CrackerJacks says
That sucks, though I don't collect this sounds bad...
Someone needs to front page this.

Not a surprise considering how many recent figures have yet to sell out and how many have gone on sale. It started with V1 Snake-Eyes, in-stock and gift-card eligible, and Bludd who still has even his exclusive version in-stock and gift-card eligible. CC and Baroness have now joined him in the same boat. Destro and SS V2 are in stock but they're newer. Plus 4 Hot Toys movie figures are available, 2 gift-card eligible. They're a little overstocked right now.

Not surprising but it is disappointing. I had high hopes for a Scarlett, especially after the awesome Baroness release. Too many people complaining about and not buying the recent stuff though.

they did a great job with the cobras they have released, but the joe side is lacking. shipwreck, tunnel rat, lowlight, spirit, scarlett… so many possibilities.
