In times of extreme need, the G.I. Joe Team activates the reserve members to strengthen front line forces. These Steel Brigade troopers have trained with the G.I. Joe Reserve Unit but have not been given a code name for active duty. When the menacing Iron Grenadier troopers are part of any Cobra attack, the Steel Brigade is called up to join the battle, in a metallic clash of Iron versus Steel!

G.I. Joe 50th Anniversary Steel Brigade
Pros
Solid troop builder
Great gear
Cons
Overall
Steel Brigade is a very good army builder figure. What more needs to be said. It’s basically a carry over figure and I’m glad this has made it’s way back to retail. It’s a perfect 2-pack for people who want extra troops.

My only cons are the small bandoleer and I wish the backpack pegs were longer.

Still a great figure from the POC lineup until now! Great to have him back!

This was the only two pack I saw at my store. I skipped it since I didn't see to much of a difference from the previous figures of both characters, and I don't collect duplicates of any character unless the sculpt is totally different or new.

BTW, I don't have any handy to check, but are other uses of those upper legs that mismatched looking and uneven? Looks kinda crummy.

It's hard to say no to Steel Brigade. Especially since this SB is my favorite version. Luckly I preordered my 50th figures online, so I haven't been in TRU and don't have to risk going broke buying up Steel Brigades. This is a great figure, good to have it reissued again, and a good two pack.

IE. no desire for a shadowguard or whatever, it's just a black painted crimson guardsman...wooh-hoo...

They switched the names in the portuguese filecards, Brigada de Ferro means Iron Brigade, and Granadeiro de Aço means Steel Grenadier.
Not complaining though, just mentioning.

Hi, this is my first post here.
Silly question: does it have a removable helmet?
None of the photos show him with the helmet off
