Despite Storm Shadow being on the cover and Snake Eyes(or Fake Eyes) being on the variant covers, neither of them show up at all in this issue. So it's misleading, would've been better had Zartan, Crystal Ball, The Baroness, Destro or The Dreadnoks shown up on the covers instead.

No kidding. Just another example of SS and SE being overplayed...and that's coming from one of their biggest fans. Stop it, already!!!!

I'm a TPB guy, so I'm always late to the game when it comes to following the storyline. Is everyone oblivious to the fact that Fred with Wendy is a "Fred", or am I missing something?

I've been reading this book since I was eight years old, I'll never give up on it, but I am disappointed with the direction Larry Hama is taking it.

Pros - Getting to See Destro actually fight!
- usage of Big Boa, Cesspool and Crystal Ball. It is nice to see some of the deeper rogues gallery members getting some visibility. Please have more Big Boa, I really want to see him box someone!
Duke story line is pretty good.I like seeing one of my favorite characters fleshed out.
Cons - Need to see some actual combat between Joe an Cobra
- need to see Slice and Dice actually do something physical.
Looking forward to the issue 225!
Hopefully Metal Head makes an appearance.

Pros...crickets.
Cons...Destro can just punch through multiple blue androids like he's pulling out hearts in Temple of Doom? They are now easier to beat than BATs facing Sgt. Slaughter.
Really? Again with trying to kill Destro? Yawwwwwn.

Gawd, this story is boring the living crap out of me. "Crisis that requires the entire Joe team".. no wait, make that something like 3 Joes. Biggest piece of hot air in Joe comic history. Serves me right for getting my hopes up, I guess.
Bi-monthly is over now, so we'll be getting a whopping 20 pages a month of set-up and Joes sitting at base talking.

There was a reason we saw Tripwire, Scarlett, Snake Eyes, Cover Girl and Chuckles' particular missions.
We saw Chuckles and Cover Girl because they were the only ones wounded in the entire op. I believe this is a starting point for Hama to explore whether Duke is fit for duty with his wife re-appearing and his emotional state. Something brought up a couple issues ago.
It remains to be seen why Hama chose Tripwire, Scarlett and Snake Eyes. It was a nice way to use Tripwire's talents.
Look i was hoping to see carnage and lots of it. However that is not Cobra Commander's plan. This whole thing was a diversion and a set up. It was not stated but I think Cobra Commander has no more use for the Freds. They are easily identifiable and even Revanche used the facade to their own advantage replacing several Freds with look alike Blue Ninjas.
No this whole thing is about cleaning house at Cobra and setting up a brainwashed Wendy to possibly get elected. Something I was also hoping for. The last time CC cleaned house was in issue 98.
I knew the second I saw Crystal Ball and Big Boa that would be what CC was up to. Another Freighter action, this time it is the Corba office building and the Silent Castle.
See? CC is even cleaning up more old real estate.
I have a sneaking suspicion that Destro and the Baroness were able to get to some sort of escape or bunker in the throne room. He designed the Silent Castle after all and knows all its secrets, Something that has been alluded to in a few issues. Once he knew it was a trap he knew where to go.
I am really curious to see who survives that office building attack.
Poor Zartan, first he gets buried in the freighter, now he is blown up in an office building.
I do have one question though. Is there really a switch in nuclear plants to purposely cause a meltdown? That seems kind of...dangerous. Especially with people like Homer working at nuclear facilities.
