3DJoes stopped by to share some great news with us – Collecting the Art of G.I.Joe: Volume 3 (1986–1987) is complete and it is HUGE! To give you an idea of the sheer size of the latest volume, here are some stats: Collecting the Art of G.I.Joe: Volume 1 (1982-1983) featured 62 unique pieces of painted G.I.Joe art while Volume 2 (1984-1985) swelled to 95 pieces. Volume 3 (1986-1987) is busting at the seams with a whopping 126 unique pieces of painted G.I.Joe art!
If you don’t mind spoilers, make sure to check out the Volume 3 Preview that’s been posted on the 3DJoes site.
So when will Volume 3 be ready to order? 3DJoes plan is to push the Kickstarter live on April 15th. The two week campaign will end on May 1st. 3DJ should receive funding from Kickstarter ~May 15th and have everything printed the first week in June. This will allow 3DJoes to fulfill all backer orders by June 15th. Finally, they will take the leftover books to Joe Con in Loveland, Colorado from June 16-19th!
What about the 3DJoes poster series? Will that continue? Yes! There will be three new poster designs that will be included as Kickstarter stretch goals. Stay tuned to the Kickstarter for announcements regarding the featured art. A note about Joe Con: as of now, it does not look like 3DJoes will be able to ship posters to sell at Joe Con. However, they will bring samples to show and will take orders for immediate fulfillment upon returning home.

Holy crap that's a time consuming process you have there, but what a great resource. Thank you for creating this and the time cost of doing it.

You guys are awesome! Thanks for the support. Really, it means a lot. Please bookmark the home page and check back often for updates. I've been rolling out new content weekly, and hope to keep that pace up.
It is indeed time consuming, and a little pricey, but it's been my goal to complete the collection and then find a way to share it. I was considering a brick-n-mortar store for a while, as well as a traveling exhibit. Hell, I drug $30,000 worth of AFA/MOC figures down to JoeCon in New Orleans just to share. Then, I found the 3D photography technique and decided the web was the best way to share 'em. So again, thanks for the support and be sure to check back weekly!

I'll totally use it for reference on my customs. The BEST part is that you have them all geared up right off the bat. I'm not sure why all the other reference sites insist on striping them down naked as the first picture you see.
