Hasbro has filed for another new Trademark this week at the United States Patent & Trademark Office. Titled as HASBROCON, the trademark is described in the following manner:
“Organizing and conducting conventions, exhibitions, fan clubs and gatherings for entertainment purposes and in the fields of toys, animation, comic books, fantasy, gaming, popular culture, science fiction, television and film”.
Like their previous Trademark of HASCON, the new trademark is very descriptive when it comes to explaining what the trademark is for.
Disney hosts a similar type of convention under the name D23 to showcase their franchises and products.
Once again we are thankful to Transformers @ The Moon for unveiling the new trademark.
Update: We’ve just discovered that Hasbro has now registered a new website domain name with the URL “www.hasbro-con.com”.

Here's to hoping a great new GI Joe Collector's Club is born out of this endeavor. And with more affordable product I might add.

Ah great, a Convention where all the Transformers, Marvel, Star Wars and My Little Pony fans get together and see all the cool stuff they'd be getting. While the Joe fans sit in the corner getting mocked because retailers don't want to carry G.I. Joe(so we get no reveals of upcoming product.)
And God forbid they have Exclusives at HasbroCon. Getting exclusives will be just as bad as Exclusives at SDCC.

If it weren't for the customs and the BST, I would not even visit this site.

Oh! We're supposed to talk about some aspect of Hasbrocon? Hmm...well, okay. I guess...so, I can't wait for the Hasbrocon G.I. Joe exclusive: Snake Eyes with Timber Version 100. For $95, no less.

One thing that might be hopeful in that registry is that it has a plural on "clubs" and "conventions." It is probably just them hedging their bets, but it does leave the door open a bit.
SD Clutch says
My guess is they will try to emulate the success of the D23 shows, or Galifrey One or E2C2 and such. The market for toy driven entertainment is strong right now, from what I see.
