anything even mentioned about the hama series?
neapolitan joe says
I hope I.D.W.'ll stop Hama stories.
plague says
totally your choice and i ask the following not as a troll but a joe fan since '82; why do you not enjoy ARAH? i was bothered by the revanche stuff but it's about 25% the sci-fi the revamp is. if you want to nail me with your reasons, i would, seriously listen and respond in a non-jerky way. deep down we all have loved g.i. joe at some point.

CADPAT says
Okay, so in addition to Matt Trakker, Mike Power is also black now, apparently, and there's a fat, ethnically-indeterminate woman cosplaying as Salvo. I'd say this was unexpected, but it's really not, sadly...
HawkWasRight says
I sent you a P.M. In reference to this. I hope we can elaborate on some stuff back and forth.
neapolitan joe says
The Hama series is awful since a couple of years: I read every issue.
No interest in the story anymore, I hope I.D.W.'ll stop this outrage.
D.D.P. stuff was way better.
My opinion.

These days I find him a close-minded, fan-ignoring, non-innovative writer. :( I feel awful saying that...

HawkWasRight, sorry my p.m. didn't get to you. for some reason, it keeps doing that to me. however, it was mostly rant, so i'll be more brief here. Favorite arah story line (well, i have to cheat): 12-19 tons of progressive scene changes (sometimes three per page but each one progressing the plot). Then the infamous massacare of joes in the trench, etc. showcased in 109-114. ddp: i was writing for image at the time, so, i became friends with jerwa and we began exchanging phone calls. his run is great but rushed, full of last minute editorial changes, forcing his "originally" huge Red Shadows to two double-sized. jerwa told me how he had everything laid out and it would have been amazing but even though his plot pages , which were given the go ahead, started to be revived, he still seemed excited. then ddp began focusing on their revamp: joe:reloaded and ignoring jerwa's questions. then joe casey (a writer that had stated a year earlier that he was not a fan of joe comics) was hired and jerwa's outline was shredded. so for favorite ddp: MASTER AND APPRENTICE and the full outline that could have been.
