Good lord. These dudes need to establish and isolate the unique qualities of these great brands, rather than lump them all together into a stew of "who cares." If they want to make cash $$$ exploiting the brands they have, I don't agree that the beautiful mind behind Batman & Robin is accentuating the positives and decelerating the disregardables.

Sorry, but I can't wait!

i'm supporting them because i have always supported any joe comic BUT this "shared universe" is a cluster foul-up. as long s hama's ARAH continues (238- awesome) and the two continuities are not even close to merging- in fact, each continuity is on opposite ends of an infinite line. i think the "shared universe" is a confusing toy catalog with franchises being forced to fit-in with the other titles. as i said, i will buy them, i have already pre-ordered the new TRANSFORMERS IDW COLLECTION PHASE 2 # I FORGET and the trades of revolution that collect revolution and all the one-shots. i, also, loved tom scioli's tf/joe book and have ordered it's deluxe version. so, i'm open to shared universe continuity as long as it doesn't in any manner put Hama's ARAH original continuity at risk. 238 was , imo, idw's best arah.

i've really tried the revolution titles but EVEN after buying the first three trade collections, i can't continue. i hope that this causes idw to focus more on arah , as it continues to sell consistently and could do even better with some promotion. but, we all see things differently and that's a good thing but i would like a n arah spin-off drawn by byrne or someone that can draw anatomy and flash.

I've been reading them, but I'm only buying Joe right now. They are very hit-and-miss. I have very mixed feelings about the new Joe comics. If GI JOE has to evolve into something new, the "X-COM" theme they are going for isn't a bad way to go. But overall the comics are pretty weak.
Revolution was just awful, but it seems like the various comics are finding their footing. The JOE/MASK match-up seems to be the best "fit" and it actually works very well. Hopefully, as time goes on each series will continue to adapt to the new status quo and the new ideas will mature into some better comics.
ARAH has been weak for a long time, and I was very close to giving up on it, but issue 237 really caught my attention. It was a huge improvement, and I'm hoping they keep it up.
Also, I keep writing to IDW to beg for more GI JOE x Street Fighter. They fit together so well, I think it should be an ongoing series. Setting aside the non-trivial problems of IP ownership and licensing, a GI JOE x Street Fighter universe is more natural and logical than matching it with ROM (?) or Micronauts (???).
