Sad news for those that were supporting the Cryptid Toys Army Alphas Kickstarter Campaign. Cryptid Toys has advised that the campaign has been cancelled and has posted the following notice on their Facebook Page:
Kickstarter Cancelled For Now But WILL Be Back Soon!
Hello All,
My apologies for the delay in communicating what has been going on with this Kickstarter recently. Ran into a couple snags, mainly with pledging for the pre-orders that were taken outside of this campaign, that do not seem to be something that Kickstarter will be able to accommodate. Unfortunately, this does impact the campaign tremendously. It has also been hard to find the necessary time to maintain regular updates and keep you all informed due to some real life problems beyond the Kickstarter that arose and needed to be taken care of. Because of these reasons, this campaign has been cancelled but WILL be back and better than ever.
There have been several good things that have come from this Kickstarter exposure and the support that many fans have shown has been incredible. Army Alphas will not become a reality at this time, but things are looking quite good for the near future! A new factory with much smaller minimum order quantities (MOQ’s) has been secured which will help lower the funding goal significantly. The input that you all have given will be used to improve these figures so that more of what you guys want to see will be present. There will be changes across the board and several changes that should make people much more pleased.
I’ve heard the desire for additional weapons, the love for the blacked out ‘Night Ops’ style SWAT figures, and the desire for the repainted figures to offer something new in addition to simply being a color swap. Another Kickstarter will be launched in the near future so continue to give your feedback on what you’d like to see and those wishes will be taken into consideration.
Thank you all for your support of this campaign and hope to see you during the second shot at making this line of figures a reality.
Sincerely,
Austin G
Cryptid Toys
We wish Austin and the team at Cryptid Toys the best of luck and look forward to seeing this campaign get fully funded sometime in the future. What are your thoughts about the cancellation? Sound off after the break.
