The 80’s brought us many popular “Boys Toys” lines. One of those lines was M.A.S.K. (Mobile Armored Strike Kommand).
Fans of the 80’s action figure toy line M.A.S.K. (Mobile Armored Strike Kommand) can finally get there hands on some new product thanks to Hasbro’s G.I. Joe Team.
Specialist Matt Trakker has joined forces with the G.I. JOE Team. The Mobile Armored Strike Kommand (M.A.S.K.) team battles V.E.N.O.M. (Vicious Evil Network of Mayhem), the unit COBRA formed to construct its own converting vehicles. SPECIALIST TRAKKER uses his next-gen technological devices to preserve peace throughout the world and stop the corrupt forces that are using the same technology to amass power in a quest to control the world.
Our own Eopie Herder has completed his review of this figure. Will it be a fan favorite all fall short of the mark?

Eopie Herder says
One of the more controversial figures to come out, fans have seemed to be divided when it comes to whether or not he should have been made into a figure seeing that other more popular ARAH figures have yet to see a modern incarnation. Myself, I could have waited to add Specialist Matt Trakker to my Joe team, even though I enjoyed M.A.S.K. toys when I was a kid. But, here we are, and here is Matt Trakker.
Body seems to be mostly a modified ACE body, with pouches added to the legs, and new arms. Head is a great sculpt. The gear is nicely detailed, and fits great. I love how Hasbro has been making the gear better looking and better fitting. Backpack is too big and bulky for my taste, but features a rotating handle, a rotating gun that will not be able to be grasped and helicopter blades that rotate and flip up.
Overall, I think that for a figure on it's own, it's only okay. It looks good, but has no functionality. I really think Hasbro should have used the money to develop another figure that fans have been asking for seeing as once the movie line starts, classic ARAH redesigns are going to be far and few between.
FIGURE RATING : 4 out of 10

Well I'm still getting this toy mostly because of its LULZ factor. Other than that it reminds me of the days when the toys I would buy would come with some gaudy accessory of sorts.
UMAN says
A 4? C'mon, he can't be that bad.... set aside the fact he's not really a GI Joe for a second... I'd say 7 or 8.
dmizrok says
Yeah, the only flaw I saw was the backpack mounted gun....Id give it a 7...

Keep in mind that the back pack came from an ARAH Iron Grenadiers Annihilator. The premise was that the back pack could be used as a stationary weapon of sorts (?).
I want this figure solely because I loved M.A.S.K. and think it's awesome that I can now add a figure from that assortment to my collection in the "25th style" size.
The L.O.C. says
Legs look good for a custom Ripcord

4 of 10? common! its just a homage figure to another Hasbro line, just like the many other homage figure we have in the 25th collection.
And why does everyone get so butt hurt over the re-use of figure parts?
Look at the OG line, if you can look me in the eye and tell me they didnt re-use any parts then you are nuts.
Oh and another fan favorite, MOTU. jesus every figure had the same exact body pretty much just a new head or color. sheesh.
get off the kit bash repaint bashing already.

Thanks for the review. On its own I'd probably give this figure a 6.
I'm not a fan of MASK or this figure, so I'm not too upset that Hasbro didn't pour more resources into its development because I wouldn't buy it anyway.
That being said, I think its a pretty decent fig for those that are MASK fans. I agree the head sculpt is very good.
