A few weeks back, HISS Tank.com boards member Rooster3D posted his CG model based off of the H.I.S.S. Tank from G.I. Joe Resolute, a design he had seen from Dusty Abell. He also mentioned that he had seen a design for the Tomahawk.
Now we have our first look at the design. This is actually different from the Tomahawk that appears in G.I. Joe Resolute, as this was the first design. The one that ended up in the show was designed by Dan Norton. Though they share similar aspects, this one has a different cockpit and seemingly more weaponry. Nonetheless, both are designs that fans would wants toys of.
Also added is a full color image of the H.I.S.S. Tank as it appears in G.I. Joe Resolute. This is another vehicle that fans voiced a desire to see in toy form, after the finale. It is a modernized update with the troop carrying capacity of the H.I.S.S. II, quite possibly the most armored plating of any H.I.S.S. variant, and is armed to the teeth.
Also up is an older of Snake Eyes by Joaquim Dos Santos, more background designs(as well as the unused Cobra Asp vehicle) by Dan Norton & storyboards by Brandon Mckinney.
Hopefully, all of the artwork can be compiled one day into a G.I. Joe Resolute art book. Even before G.I. Joe Resolute was aired, there was already a desire by fans to see just what these guys were cooking up.

This is the one thing I truly loved about this series; how sweet everything looked. It seemed everyone was too focused on someone dieing to really enjoy the scenery. Of course that supplied the tension no other series had before, but still.
If we do see more Resolute in the future, its too bad the Flagg is gone. I guess that opens the door for one awesome looking Pit, because a Flagg II would be dumb.

wow, that is awesome stuff.
I don't quite understand the Flight Pod...

Davey J. is sick wit the pencil!! And even though this is "concept art", i'm positive some of those drawings were painted and used as backgrounds in certain shots of the film.

I know this is nit picky, but did the animation people realize they placed the deck numbers on the Flagg upside down based on military standards? They match the toy from 1985, but military standards state numbering on the deck of an aircraft carrier is to be faced so that someone flying from the stern of the ship to the bow can read them properly.
I know I teased before that the USS Flagg toy should be the USS America if going by the deck numbers (I looked at the sticker placement instructions of the Flagg on Yo Joe.com and confirmed they tell you to put them on upside down). I'll bet the animators just kept it that way because that's what most of us are used to.
So my question is... If you get a US Flagg toy (vintage, or even if Hasbro makes a Resolute one), which way will you put the numbers?

I found these on his art as well. I was looking for character art when searching.

Oh, and to answer your question. If I had a USS Flagg, I'd put the numbers on correctly.

the thing i liked the most about Resolute was definitely the background/environment/building designs, so it's nice to see the groundwork for the final product. thanks for making these available. i don't much like the character/weapon designs, but that is just a personal taste issue, not a quality of work issue.
