Thanks to an auction posted by viperskingdom we now have images of a newly revealed GI Joe Mech repaint in jungle camo. The Cobra Minotaur Mech was planned for release with a Desert Scorpion figure but was canceled. This Mech features parts from the Minotaur and other previously seen Mechs. It’s anyone’s guess as to why this “new” repaint has suddenly appeared on eBay. Upcoming release? New retailer or JoeCon 2012 exclusive? Who knows.

    It's too bad they didn't start with the wave two mechs. They were both a lot more interesting to me then wave one.

    It's funny how folks in Singapore have all this RARE stuff but they fight it out to bid on my troop builders on eBay like it doesn't exist elsewhere.

    Say hello to a JoeCon exclusive! I can see this as OG or IG. Just a guess, but I would not be surprised.

    Given the number of orange/grey mechs that have shown up suddenly in the last month, and now the minotaur, that's a possibility. The other thing that's interesting is that though other prototypes I've received have the classic "HF" or "HFE" on it, neither of these do.

    I also wonder if Alpine will be part of this. I got a second change offer on the alpine after the most recent one sold and passed on, but was curious how he suddenly had several of this rare figure as well several years after they were cancelled.
