Been working on this on and off for some time but the time has finally come for the Joes and the Autobots to crap their pants in fear, I present, my custom San Diego Comic Con exclusive Shockwave Hiss tank. Most notably different from the bought version is the addition of moving treads...and a bunch of LEDs. I love this mold, but hate the static treads. Happy I was able to get 17 LEDs in this badboy.
To see how it all went together you can see it here:

Here's the writeup and pics of the final product.
Decided to put this pic first since I love the shot with the lights, especially Shocwave's eye, because it wouldn't be Shockwave without his iconic glowing eye:
One of the hardest parts was trying to match the purple of the body for the treads, took a couple tries, but I was very happy with the end result. Sadly the pictures don't do it justice as I think it's pretty damn close for not having Hasbro's paint formula:
Same purple was used on the Shockwave barrel, but here was hand painted as masking these spots off would have been painful:
Would ya look at that butt. Back view including some Cobra insignia's because it is still a GI Joe vehicle:
Another back view, this time showing some decals for detail:
Yet another back view, this time showing the taillights and switches:
Shot of one of the lit up gattlings and a vent light:
Cockpit details, couldn't just leave it plain. There is a 5th UV LED in the center console, can be seen in later pictures:
The underside/battery cover. So happy with how sleek I was able to make it, the enamel coated magnet wire has been a big plus in this project:
Another couple shots of it in its entirety, first is lit up, 2nd lights off:
Just a closeup of the secondary gun mount holes covered from the inside and painted:
And a top view pic of the completed Shockwave Hiss tank:
And these are pics of it lit up in the dark. First up, the cockpit where you can see the center console light:
Front view:
Rear View:
Top view:
And finally, one of my favorite pics, all lit up and ready to fire:
This has certainly been an undertaking. I've learned alot and absolutely and thoroughly enjoyed this project and thank kindly the commissionee for the opportunity to make this exclusive what I feel it should have been from the start!
Hope you all enjoy!

Looks amazing. I like that you added the working tread. I think the cockpit could have used some more plastic, a steering column or a control stick. The led lights are nice..
