VAMP’s are the G.I. JOE team’s rugged, all-purpose ground vehicles. They can be outfitted for battle with a rear-mounted machine gun and can tow larger weapons. This one is hiding a secret, it’s Autobot Hound – Optimus Prime’s chief tracker and scout. Though Ravage can hide almost perfectly in even the slightest shadow, no amount of skill can prevent Hound from finding him.

Kind of a let down after seeing that excellent custom a while back.

The 30th version should have been used as the mold for this exclusive. Or at least made it a vamp mark II with this mold.

Sorry but this looks boreing. The previous vehicles (star scream and shockwave) where far more interesting to me.

I agree. The more I see of this set the less desirable I find it. And I'm not trying to hate on the exclusives--I loved last years set and I was hoping this year's would be just as good.
Snake Eyes is, well, Snake Eyes with a tiny autobot symbol on his arm.
The porportions on the Baroness just don't work for me--the skirt or an overcoat would have done wonders.
And Hound . . . a 25th VAMP with silver rims and a few autobot stickers. A darker green with a metallic finish like last year's Shock Hiss would have been much cooler imho. Also using the POC mold or even the NCC mold would have been better.
The only piece I'm really liking so far is Ravage. Not enough to justify trying to get the set at this point.

When is this set coming out again, is it the end of this month?
HEAT Viper says
SDCC starts this Thursday. Sets should be on ebay by this weekend and I expect the F5-ing will begin next Monday until HTS puts them up and then sells out.

the failure for me here is that they didn't do a new weapon to match Hounds G1 Holo-cannon. that would have made this much more of a win...
CrotchKnockerX says
I think they could have done some more modifications to the Vamp to give it a more Hound look. Im not sure what it is just looks off to me. It just looks more Joe and little to no Formers to it. But I think the rest of the stuff in the set makes up! well maybe not Ravage, thats a diffrent thread.

Notice how they didn't really even try with this one because they know people will snatch it up just for it's "exclusiveness"...this trend stinks...I want to buy my toys from stores again...

The little stars are kind of hitting me in a silly nostalgia way. Those are definitely hounds stars and yellowy stripes.
Pretender Bludgeon is kind of the highlight of the set for me. Even if no one asked for it. Definitely evokes some of the more terrifying imagry of those marvel books.
The set is not crazy exciting. But i think I have room to Add them all to my shelf. Even if I'm still have no clue on skystriker display.
