The G.I.Joe Retaliation figure reviews continue! This time around, HissTank forum member danielgogeta brings us another one of his stellar pictorial reviews of one of the sleeper hits of the Ultimate Wave, the Cobra Crimson Guard.
Originally introduced in 1985, the Crimson Guardsmen are the elite guard of Cobra Commander. Led by Tomax and Xamot aka the Crimson Twins/CEOs of Extensive Enterprise, the Crimson Guard are definitely a hit among fans and have been a part of the line in one form or another since their initial introduction.

The vest on mine won't stay latched. Does anyone else have that problem? Other than that, it's a nice figure, but I just don't really have a place for a frontline Crimson Guard. To me, they should be the Cobra equivalent of the Buckingham Palace guards. If they were to go to battle, they'd be wearing regular Cobra fatigues.

Nice review. Question---would CG's body armor fit over the Retaliation Alley Viper properly just in case you can't latch it properly?

Nice pics. One minor correction, though: the bullpup configuration assault rifle (it looks like its design was inspired by the Norinco 86S) the figure comes with isn't new—it was previously released with the RoC Crimson Neo-Viper back in 2009.
