Hisstank.com has just received official confirmation that Hasbro will not be in attendance at this years G.I.Joe Collectors Convention 50th Anniversary Celebration. This is old news that was also confirmed at Toy Fair 2014 from Hasbro team members, that just was over looked by most of us with the announcement of the G.I. Joe 50th Anniversary Line.
This should put an end to the rumors and arguments that have been showing up around the web on this topic. Hopefully the G.I. Joe Collectors Club can provide us with more information on what role Hasbro will play (if any) if there is no plans for Hasbro to be in attendance at this years G.I. Joe 50th Anniversary Celebration.

G.I.Joe Collectors Convention 50th Anniversary Celebration To Be Held Without Hasbro - GI Joe News
This news should come as no surprise given there is no current active G.I. Joe Team at Hasbro and the heavily photo-shopped 50th Anniversary presentation shows product in early stages of development. Simply put, there may be nothing ready for public display in regards to the G.I. Joe 50th Anniversary Line.
At this point it's a waiting game to see if we get to see this on display at JoeCon in any capacity.

Well that should tell everyone what Hasbro think's about GI Joe. One would think this would be a big deal.

Pathetic.
For real. Why bother with a third movie? What's the point?

Still going... It's about the Joe collecting community, not Hasbro.

Maybe they wanted to go, but since they couldn't register...
Seriously, though- I get the feeling that this convention will NOT be well attended. On the plus side, maybe FP will actually have some at-con exclusives to sell after the fact. You'd think Hasbro could send ONE employee to the 50th. Anniversary con to give a short presentation/slideshow of the upcoming TRU stuff, even if they don't have a display. It would probably be in FP's best interest to even approach Hasbro, and offer to foot the bill for one team member to attend.

I would like to offer Hasbro $7.38 for the rights to GI joe. It's obvious they don't care about it and that'll be $7.38 they'll get as opposed to nothing for just sitting on it. I just see this news as the final nail in the coffin. I hate to be so negative, but this is negative news.
