Gentle Giant LTD - 3D Systems To Produce Jumbo Sized ARAH G.I. Joe Figures
A short while back around Toy Fair 2014 HISS Tank.com reported on a press release that Hasbro and 3D Systems have signed a Co-Venture deal. No further details were given at that time, until this week. Very strong rumors have been surfacing surrounding this deal and it look like Gentle Giant LTD will be producing Jumbo Sized ARAH G.I. Joe Figures in the near future. None of this information is official until Hasbro or Gentle Giant LTD - 3D Systems announce their official plans so the usual caveats apply.
We have attached a poll to this thread to gauge interest in such a line. Out latest poll had a lot of talk about not having room for 6" Black series or another size class for that matter. It turned out to be almost split down the middle. It should be fun to see if people will reverse their tone now that ARAH O-Ring 12" figures have the potential to enter the arena of sport!

Count me in! I love GG's Star Wars line and would definitely snag every Jumbo Joe they make.

That is just something I can't say no to.

Nope
12 inch figures won't do anything, look at how kids didn't buy the 30'th 12 inches.

I would pass on this line- I've got all the originals from childhoold behind glass and just dont see how I could justify this exspense for more show pieces that you cant set up in displays or have my kids play with them.

If it's made exactly like the ARAH stuff (just bigger), and carded the same way, then yeah. I'd definitely get Cobra Commander and Destro. Maybe one or two others, but not many.

I just wish you'd let this go...

None of this product would be made for kids. It's almost 100% collector driven. They are just up-sized o-ring originals.
They look like the attached picture.

I support it, because I think there's a market for this. I don't know if I would actually buy much of the products however. The price for a ARAH Joe recreation in 1:6 scale would be way more expensive than the $80-$100 Star Wars figures. I don't know how many $140 12" ARAH Joes I would really want. Off the top of my head, maybe Firefly and Scrap Iron are shoe ins, as well as Cobra Commander. After that, any Tiger Force would be a buy and then it it gets kinda hard to say.
