Recently new auctions have showed up on eBay for some rare unreleased test shots from G.I. Joe Rise of Cobra. The new figures include Rise of Cobra Jungle Duke and Jungle Assault Cobra Commander. Check out the listings below.

    I still wish we'd have gotten that Cobra Commander and I hold out hope that Hasbro will release him in the same way they released that prototype POC Snake Eyes in the 50th arctic set.

    CC looks decent...I don't get why Hasbro didn't release him.

    Duke is alright...though he kinda looks like Tunnel Rat...

    dude...That POC duke is one of the coolest modern figures.

    Cobra Commander might have seen the same issue as some of the other PoC figures- an element of the figure (ie, headsculpt) was tied to the rights for the film which would have cut into the margins on the figure. And nobody really seemed to like the Cobra Commander head design from RoC to begin with.

    As is, the figure (minus the "Nano-bug") saw release in 2011 redeco'ed as a "classic" Cobra Commander, which was far better received.

    And for the record, the PoC Snake eyes repaint still wasn't the exact unreleased deco and accessories anyway :p

    The only thing different is the launcher and the Channing Tatum head sculpt

    True, I guess i'm more of a fan of the Resolute version than the POC jungle version...

    These are neat, but I have to agree with Steevy that the "classic" POC CC was a better version. Jungle Duke, eh, I'll stick to my City Strike Duke for movie-style. He stands displayed next to my 1983 Duke from childhood, heh.

    I see nothing special about these.
    I think auctions like these seperate joe fans who like collecting, from collectors who happen to like joes.
