We now have in-hand images of the SDCC 2015 Crimson Strike G.I. Joe Box Set. We took a few really quick pics for every to take a look at. The box is huge and is going to cost a mint to ship back from SDCC 2015 for those of you who are going out in early July. Check back often as HISSTANK.com will be posting up new images of the set all day long.

Here are a few images of the box the set comes in. It's so big I can't fit it into my photo booth area. I will try to post up smaller high-res shots of the art as we go along later.

I dig what they did with the box cover. Very cool with the addition of the bullet holes.
Unfortunately, that's about all I dig about the set. The AV is starting to grow on me, but the HISS and Sky Striker are just too iconic to be used by the opposite teams, and I just can't get past that.
Let's get a little creativity in there please. Use the new-mold vehicles for the swapping. Keep up with this formula and we'll get a Joe Terrordrome and a Cobra Flagg. No thank you.

The only version of alley viper I ever cared for was the yellow one. I loved the animal looking mask that flipped open.

What do you you guys want to see next? Another figure from the box set or Kre-O figures?

50th box set please.
I am not a fan of lego joes.

By the way, the battle scene art is not giving Grunt much of a chance to fight another day.
He's out in the open about to get swiped by a machete from the AV officer, while the strato viper is unloading an entire clip at point blank range into Grunt. Meanwhile Steeler is up in his stolen Hisstank apparently cheering on the cobra. Maybe he always wanted to drive a hisstank, and sold out grunt? What is he shooting at? they look like aimless shots of celebration.
As and added bonus the cobra skystriker has launched a barrage of missles to ensure that Grunt gets killed as well as the AV and rocket head viper.
Other than that, I really like the set. I think it's novel and well executed, even better than the desert set that has a paint scheme for a winter climate.
