Just a quick High-Res picture update for the SDCC 2015 G.I. Joe 50th Anniversary box sets. If you take the Desert Duel and Crimson Strike boxes, and merge them, you get one huge art print to display in your G.I. Joe collection.

They auctioned off a print of the art at Joe Con. It was definitely painted as one piece, but there's like a half-inch gap missing on the boxes so the sides don't match up. You can see that easily in the rock in the middle. It was seamless in the original art. It looks like the issue was that if they cut it perfectly down the middle, either the tip of the sword or the back of the Basilisk missile or both would've had to be visible on the other box. But I don't think that would've been a big deal. The Crimson Strike afterburner shows on the Basilisk box.
The art is some of the most beautifully done I've seen for G.I. Joe ever, but I'd still be geeking out 10 times more if they were the vehicles in the original colors with original '80s figures.

So the Desert Duel and Crimson Strike boxes are the same size?!? Wouldn't a box containing a Skystriker and HISS tank be bigger than a box containing a Snowcat and AWE Striker?
