Rock Viper troopers can scale any obstacle to deliver a barrage of firepower from missile packs amd grenade launchers. As part of their training, they are dropped from a helicopter onto a sheer, 500-foot mesa with only 250 feet of rope. To capture a heavily guarded communications installation, they climb down to the roof – only to find out G.I. Joe mountain trooper Alpine has already climbed to the top and is waiting for them, battle-ready.

It is a neat update to the original v1 character, for sure, but I feel he should have had the Tripwire/ROC Ace head instead. I have one POC version and two of the 50th versions. I like this figure a lot and am glad he is so affordable to get.
Very happy the Rock Viper was given to us again. And I actually found quite a few of these sets at tru, luckily.
How come everyone thinks the sub-machine gun goes with the shock trooper? It actually goes with the rock viper but know one ever has it with him. Its included in the poc release.
Love these guys, LOVE this photo shoot of them , gets me excited to get them out and play with them tonight. I never had a past version, had no connection to the character until Crack rock rampage came out, now I have 5! I like this head better than the weird concept that Cobra requires these guys to grow porn staches. Although a dedicated character ( headswap) onto one of my 5 to make that guy is a good idea now.
I glued the helmets on all of mine because they do not stay on well and I don't want to set them all up each time I want to play with them, I also rigged the stock of that gun with the scope into the harness so they stay attached, painted the spear tips metallic silver which makes a HUGE difference.
Love these guys. The only thing I never understood was what do they carry spears...? Seems like climbing a mountain the last thing you would want clunking behind you is a 8' long spear. But that's just me so what do I know. ;)
always liked the rock vipers
Great figure.I own six of the Poc ones and six of the 50th ones.
