Back in 2013, Hasbro was releasing “Ultimate Gift Sets” for its action figure lines such as Star Wars and Transformers. A GI Joe Ultimate Gift Set was in the works and actually listed on Amazon for a time. Unfortunately, this set was cancelled and we never saw the actual figures planned for inclusion….until now.
GI Joe Retaliation Ultimate Gift Set

- Nunchuk
- Slice
- Roadblock
We aren’t completely sure if all of the accessories to be included, are actually shown in the pictures. Slice and Nunchuk both ended up being released in the GI Joe Collector’s Club Subscription line(with some different tooling compared to what’s seen here). Unfortunately, movie accurate Retaliation Cobra Commander and the specific Roadblock seen here remain to be seen. Sure, we did get a Ultimate Roadblock figure in 2013 but it wasn’t as comprehensive as this.
The “Ultimate Gift Set” Roadblock featured 3 heads: classic, movie and 1 from GI Joe Renegades! It also came with different gear to swap out. Had this set been released, fans would’ve finally gotten a fairly movie-accurate Retaliation Cobra Commander and the sole member missing from the core Renegades team. Could there still be hope? Hasbro doesn’t like sitting on unused tooling and who knows what’s going on with GI Joe 3?

So, no confirmation on what it is other than what the seller claims it to be. Perhaps it's 2016 product? Guess we'll find out soon enough.
Confirmed by a former Hasbro employee that this was the cancelled Amazon pack from a while back.

Are my eyes playing tricks on me? Looks like the lower legs are retooled and have regular ankle articulation, instead of those blasted rocker ankles that I hate.
Guess we'll find out about all the 2016 canceled figures at JoeCon.

A while back there was a listing on Amazon for a 3rd figure pack. It had Nunchuck with new parts, Slice, a more movie accurate Cobra Commander and a Roadblock with newly tooled vests and three heads, movie, Renegades and classic.
It was cancelled, unfortunately right around the time the Eaglehawk was announced.
For some reason now we're seeing images of the protos pop up on eBay.
