Holy (insert spiritual deity of choice here)!
Check out this absurdly awesome G.I.Joe vs Transformers custom crossover Lego Defiant Shuttle Complex created by HissTank.com forum member SamuraiBludgeon! Wait…a Defiant Space Shuttle Complex, made entirely out of Lego, that’s also a Joe vs Transformer Crossover, with transforming components & Transformers Kre-O Kreons? WHERE HAS THIS BEEN ALL OF MY LIFE?!
According to SamuraiBludgeon, the piece comes in at a whopping 30 pounds! It all started by taking a Lego City Space Shuttle and turning it in to the heroic Autobot, Skylynx! Next came the Space Station, Launch Gantry and Crawler. Not only is this creation amazingly faithful to the original, but includes a ton of new features, including a launch bay for the VAMP, a helipad for Ghost Hawks and a nicely outfitted launch bay for Sgt. Slaughter’s Triple T Tank! Oh, let’s not forget the Huge Autobot logo on the Gantry doors (!!).
Commentary just doesn’t do this bad boy justice, so join us after the break to check out an entire assortment of pics showcasing this awesome custom crossover!

I'm an adult transformer collector but as a kid I had more GI Joes than anything else. The Defiant Launch Complex was always a "holy grail" for me but since I went towards collecting transformers, the dream of having that behemoth was gone, until I made one for myself! My love of Legos and the Kreons made this a super fun and long project (8+months), I hope you enjoy the pics!
All together this bad boy comes in at 30 pounds! Math says that's near 6000 pieces but I'm not too sure on that, and she is approx. 22in by 24in by 20+in tall when all opened up. Turns out she is almost the same size as the real Defiant.
This all started with the shuttle. I took a Lego City Space Shuttle and extended it and built Sky Lynx out of it. He comes complete with a pilot (cant see him in the pics), working mouth (with teeth, that was hard!), working cargo bay with a boom arm and satellite, and is fully transformable without parts forming. Once he was done the idea of the Defiant set came into my mind and it was a must do!
The space station was next. It detracts from the original quite a bit. There's an air lock on the right side, a flip up turret, boom arm, complete cockpit, and the classic flip up station.
Next up was the Launch Gantry. I really wanted this to feel like an Autobot base, so I found a really nice Lego Autobot symbol online and modded it to fit on the doors and to split open. Inside there is a working elevator, access platform, flip up radar, various platforms, and working service arms.
Finally, the Crawler. Here I changed the most from the original. The downside is that due to the weight of this thing I couldn't risk building in a working crank so the gantry has to be manually moved into position, o well. The front driver's cockpit was redesigned, I added a launch bay in the front for the Vamp, a launch bay on the left side for the bike, a med bay, a jail, a heli pad for the Ghost Hawks, and added a nicely outfitted launch bay in the back for the Triple T. Most of the gun emplacements are there and I had to customize the outer walkways.
I really wanted this to be a multi-vehicle build so we have (shout out to Geewunner Customs for the Tiger Force Vamp and the idea for the Ghost Hawks) A Vamp, 2 Ghost hawks, the RAM bike with sidecar, and the SDCC Triple-T. There are stations for about 24-25 Kreons all in all.
