Hascon 2017: Full Schedule For G. I. Joe Brand Related Panels And Events

We are just 3 days away from our first ever Hascon; a convention hosted by Hasbro showcasing their brand portfolio, very much like Disney’s D23 Expo.

Hascon 2017 will take place in Providence, Rhode Island from September 8th to 10th. Full schedule is now online with several changes to the earlier known schedule.

Things are kicking off for us in the afternoon with a panel highlighting the cool packaging we grew up with. We are also expected to see a great Brand Experience celebrating 35 years of wonder.

Friday, September 8th

2:30PM : The Art of G.I. Joe: Packaging an American Icon (Location: Discovery Family Stage)

G.I. Joe Legends Doug Hart and Bob Lavoie discuss their work as Illustrators in creating the incredible and iconic packaging that set the tone for toy product. You will hear about their inspiration, techniques, and their personal favorites, including highlights of Hasbro Vault artwork that have not been revealed before publicly. Moderated by G.I. Joe author Dan Klingensmith

3:30PM : Creating the World of G.I. Joe Vehicles & Playsets (Location: Discovery Family Stage)

Legends behind the G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero vehicles and playsets discuss how such an incredible array of toys was created, with a special selection of never-before seen concepts. Moderated by G.I. Joe author Dan Klingensmith.

4:30PM : Creating the World of G.I. Joe Characters (Location: Discovery Family Stage)

Legends behind the G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero line discuss the character creation process with inside knowledge and personal stories, with a special selection of never-before released concepts. Moderated by G.I. Joe author Dan Klingensmith.

6:30PM – 9:00PM : G.I. JOE Legends Dinner (Location: Providence Renaissance Hotel)
