Wizkids have announced a brand new initiative with Hasbro to bring miniature figures based on Transformers, G.I. Joe and My Little Pony franchises.
It is interesting to note that the G.I. Joe logo used for the promotional image we received, is actually the same one as seen on Hasbro’s Toy Fair Investor Day.
Fans can expect to see their favorite characters first appear later this year in both pre-painted and unpainted formats.
“Much of the WizKids team has grown up with these cherished brands and are thrilled to be bringing them to life with the high definition sculpting processes that our customers have come to love,” said Justin Ziran, president of WizKids.

PanzerKrake says
Cool, but not sure why? Typically all the miniatures Wizkids makes are tied to games of some kind, so why suddenly make all these Hasbro figures unless they are part of some game line?

Intrigued.
Hopefully these lines stick around longer than past mini lines.
Hopefully they have similar sculpts. I also would be interested in unpainted ones as well if they offer them.

Given that 6" is supposed to be the preferred size of collector lines, are 4" figures considered Minifigures now? If so, bring it on!!!

Opening up the 'I'm not gonna start another collection that is cancelled after 6 months' file.
Me, "Dang this would be getting full. If I jumped at all these things."
Wallet pops up on my left shoulder, "Don't worry Batsy...I need a break anyway....I'm tired and drained."
Me, "Ahhhh wallet you always were more sensible than Plastic Crack habit."
Plastic Crack habit pops up on my left shoulder, "SHUT UP. HEY MAN DON'T LISTEN TO THIS FAUX LEATHER FOLDING LOSER. GO BUY POGS! SECURE YOUR FUTURE!"
