Hasbro CEO Brian Goldner attended the 35th Bernstein Strategic Decisions Conference in New York, to say a few words about his company.
While he didn’t went into great detail, Mr. Goldner seemingly confirmed G.I. Joe: Snake Eyes movie for 2020. The slide he used during the presentation was from the Toy Fair 2019 presentation.
Brian Goldner stated “Next year we’ll have a G.I. Joe Movie focused on Snake Eyes.”
This of course is a great news; considering all the delays and pushbacks we’ve been hearing a lot lately.
Furthermore, this could be an indication that the toys are currently being made by Hasbro; since it requires at least 2 years of R&D as well as manufacturing/transporting. Which also explains why the brand is on display at the upcoming Licensing Expo. Hasbro is ready.
CEO only mentioned few brands by name during the conference and G.I. Joe being one of them is certainly a positive outlook for the franchise we know and love.

I want off this rollercoaster ride.

In fact at my level it is ten times worse.
Casting, finding a location that will give you permission that suits your needs, getting ten people in one place all at the same time built around their 40 hour work week, getting the location and the people at the same time, props being made on time, etc etc etc.
Maybe we will hear more at the licensing expo.
Maybe...
Hasbro and Paramount don't know what each other's hands are doing...

I have very mixed feelings. On one hand I wish they would give us an actual GI Joe movie based on source material. I feel like Snake Eyes is going to be a stupid ninja movie. On the other hand, making any type of GI Joe movie can potentially advance the brand and keep it alive.

Wait. Wasn't it supposed to come out in 2020 anyway? I'm confused. So the movie is back on again?
This whole GI Joe 3 movie fiasco sounds like a story that begins with the line, "Well, what had happened was...". Anything after that line is just a tall tale.

I just hope they keep the core of the story true to Hama. Snake Eyes and Storm Shadow become blood brothers in the military. Storm Shadow returns home - Snake Eyes family dies on the way to the airport to pick him up. Storm Shadow invites Snake Eyes to join him and train to be a ninja. The leader of the clan gets mysteriously killed and it looks like Snake Eyes did it. There you go - that's a whole movie right there.

Well see?? This is all so like the 5th hasbro has said the movie is coming. And it never gets started. All hasbro puts there money in to is TF & even that is falling a part.
