Update: HISSTANK members are reporting that this casting call may possibly be a scam. We are yet to hear an official announcement regarding any casting.
It just so happens that 10 days ago, casting director Alan Baltes was looking for fresh new faces to represent the G.I. Joe and Cobra teams on the upcoming G.I. Joe: Ever Vigilant live action movie.
Speaking through his official Twitter account and blog, the casting director stated the following:
“The upcoming production of the Paramount Pictures military science fiction action film “G.I. Joe: Ever Vigilant” is currently setting up open auditions for new talent to play the lead and supporting roles. Included in the film will be a new team of Joes – Daina Janack, Dr. Adele Burkhart, Wild Bill, Barbecue, General Flagg, Doc and Keel-Haul. The main antagonists will be Tomax and Xamot. Also being cast are the Crimson twins. “G.I. Joe: Ever Vigilant” centers on the GI Joe force being reinstated for a confrontation when the Cobra terrorists acquire a deadly new weapon.”
Candidates must go though a standardized process in order to be selected for the above roles. Exact details can be found on Mr. Baltes’ official blog.
Judging by the details posted above, it seems as though Paramount is indeed moving ahead with the previously abandoned script for Ever Vigilant.
Also, it is worth noting that the casting director may have included an incorrect release date for the movie. March 27th, 2020 was the previous release date of G.I. Joe: Snake Eyes, before revising to October 2020.
Screenplay for G.I. Joe: Ever Vigilant is written by Josh Appelbaum and Andre Nemec (Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out Of The Shadows).

So..... the team of special forces operators is two flag officers, a medic, a fireman, a scientist, and a helicopter pilot.
Huh.
Maybe this is supposed to be an Adventure Team movie?

Crimson Twins and Wild Bill - great.
The rest of the characters - not so much.
And how do we get 2 Navy related JOES and neither of them is Shipwreck?
Even with the puzzling character choices, I want to believe this'll be better than the last 2-movies. Here's to hoping.

waitaminnit here.
They want people to pay to audition?
That is not how it works.
This would be a SAG film if anything.
Also that link is to a personal Google blog page.
This stinks to high heaven of a scam.
I will ask around and even report this if necessary.

Also the Twitter account is using an image from the IMDB page. An image of Baltes back when he was an actor. He is now 57 and looks nothing like that.
