G.I. Joe: Jet Black Snake Eyes Special Look Announced For Tokyo Comic-Con 2020

We just received a special announcement from the upcoming Tokyo Comic-Con 2020.

The event has announced a ‘Special Look‘ at G.I. Joe: Jet Black Snake Eyes (Snake Eyes: G.I. Joe Origins) during the second day of the convention.

Official details (translated from Japanese):

“G.I. Joe: Jet Black Snake Eyes Special Look

  • December 5th, 2020 (Saturday)
  • 11:15 am – 11:45 am
  • Special Presentation

Long awaited action blockbuster scheduled to be released in 2021 with many Japanese locations featured. A special look will be revealed during the event.”

It is interesting that on December 4th, we will receive a special presentation during CCXP Worlds and immediately followed by another ‘special look’ on December 5th during Tokyo Comic-Con 2020.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Tokyo Comic-Con will be held online via https://www.tccworld.jp/. *

    While, obviously, no one really said anything unexpectedly noteworthy and/or remotely shocking ... I remain cautiously optimistic the movie won't be terrible.

    Though a thought just occurred to me regarding any potential sequels/future appearances by Golding as Snake Eyes (post-helicopter blast) ... no "real actor" wishes to spend all their screen time under an expression-less mask. So, unlike in previous media, I would anticipate seeing Snake Eyes' "melted cheese pizza face" quite often, actually (à la Ryan Reynolds in "Deadpool").

    P.S. Larry Hama kinda looks like a cross between Yoshihide Suga and Vladimir Putin.
