“We are back on set, ladies and gentlemen. We just got some reshoots for Snake Eyes, but I’m so grateful that we’re able to pull this off. I mean it’s a really challenging period to be doing production during come COVID. All precautions are being taken. I’m just about to get my test. We get tested every single day, but I’m just super excited to get this business churning and hopefully will be back to normal in no time.”
Reshoots are taking place in California (Location: 1046 S Seaside Ave, San Pedro)

News Post 03/16/2021: Henry Golding Confirms Snake Eyes Movie Reshoots
hmmm... I can't decide how I feel about this. Wasn't the movie supposed to be finished a long, long time ago - and should have been released a long, long time ago? Sounds ominous.
BUT, then again... what if they could have had an extra year to perfect The Last Jedi? What if the test screenings would have revealed how everyone felt about it and they had the time and foresight to correct the problems? Sounds hopeful.
Anyways, neither here nor there. As stated the Bumblebee movie got reshoots and I felt it was better for it. Moving it further away from the Michael Bay stuff really helped it along.
I'm still not super optimistic. GI Joe, Transformers, as a whole is just a disaster for Paramount. We'll see.
I'm going to need more information before making a opinion on reshoots.
Haven’t we seen this play out before?
Ugh. Well, now we know it won't be very good. The whole concept of test screenings and making changes based on sample audience reactions just reminds me of how the software industry operates. Now they are going to try harder to make the movie appeal to the lowest common denominator which brings us right back to the other two live action movies. I hope I'm wrong but in my experience, I only end up being wrong when I find some reason to hope movies will actually get better.
I have very low expectations for movies in general these days, especially after seeing the Transformers movies. I always end up thinking "maybe this one will be good" and they never are. The dialogue is horrible. The writing is cliché. The humor is usually terrible. *gags*
I have high hopes.
Meaning I hope they have paid attention to fans this go around and are cleaning up unnecessariness and non canon bs.
Let’s go Snake Eyes Origins team!
I really hope this movie does well. Snake Eyes need to be awesome!
Every movie production of this scale has reshoots. Totally standard course of business. The reshoots for this one just got delayed due to the pandemic.
They could be significant (rescripting storylines) or could be minor (re-doing action and VFX footage that didn't work in editing). No way to know and the studio is unlikely to tell.
