Hasbro’s Senior Marketing Manager Irvin Ducournau has updated his Linkedin profile to include some valuable details regarding the modern G.I. Joe initiatives by the toy giant.
Mr. Ducournau also highlights the term G.I. Joe Evergreen, which HISSTANK exclusively revealed prior to the official rename and the announcement of the G.I. Joe Classified Series.
It’s interesting to note that the modern initiative is a 3 to 5-Year Project. Therefore, we’ll likely see Classified Series and the Retro Line well into the following years if things go well. If this is the case, 2021 is a crucial year to evaluate the G.I. Joe brand on where it stands.
Even though Irvin Ducournau has moved onto Power Rangers, we wish him the best for all his endeavors.

It's a great time to be a Joe fan!

I agree with Dreadnok Twins that things certainly seem headed in a very positive direction overall. Although with one caveat ...
Hopefully, as time goes by, Hasbro gains enough confidence (in the brand) to devote greater resources to the Digital Gaming division/development. Because "Blackout"-style budget titles are highly unlikely to "move the needle" much, imo.

I assumed the Fortnite thing was more to drum up curiosity for the upcoming Snake Eyes movie. I also believe Fortnite is more than just your little kid nephews, plenty of adults play it, I'm sure of that. One man's "tired edgelord", whatever that means, is another's mans favorite character.
Anyway, my point is, I bet it did fine. But the brand needs more. What G.I. Joe really needs is something more than shitty video games and one-off Fortnite skins. It needs a new animated series like War of Cybertron. Something that gives the Joe's something to do. Right now the Classified series just feels weirdly theoretical in nature. We need to see them in some kind of narrative to get the juices flowing. Stuff like Blackout just makes the brand look weak.

Good to hear see that GI Joe is rising to its full potential. Hopefully they can find their feet before it really kicks off.
