Rumor: New Transformers Collaborative “Project Trooper” Could be G.I. Joe Related Releasing in 2023?

A very interesting piece of news has come to light via our sister sight TFW2005.com. There is a new listing that could turn out to be G.I. Joe among other brands. I have always enjoyed the G.I. Joe vs. Transformers Universe so I hope this turns out to be true.

“Coming to us from TFW2005 boards member SofosXIII is a new Transformers Collaborative listing from Gamestop’s preorder system currently labelled as “AF TRA PROJECT TROOPER 1“. Its price is $89.99 and it is due for release in 2023.

What exactly this may be is anyone’s guess at the moment, with board members’ predictions ranging from the likes of Star Wars and GI Joe to other properties such as Starship Troopers.

We recommend taking this as a rumor until we receive more information. Until then you can let us know what you think it’ll turn out to be in the discussion thread!”

    If it is 89.99 and coming out in 2023, knowing hasbro it's a 4 inch figure of some sort in a flimsy fancy box

    It will probably be something Snake-Eyes, Storm Shadow, Scarlett, Duke, Roadblock, Destro, Cobra Commander, Baroness, Zartan, and have I listed all the A-listers we don't need to see more of, related.

    All the Transformers collabs up until this point have been new characters that transform into "insert other property vehicle" I imagine this will be the case here too.

    I think you can relax a bit, that's all been moved to O-ring.

    Alley Viper and BBQ were deeper cuts than any of us were expecting.

    Another leaker, JT Prime, just confirmed that it is indeed a Joe crossover, and that it is one of two releases. So that probably means both Joe fans and Cobra fans will be happy.

    At $90, I?d expect a transforming Hiss tank that fits a 3 3/4 inch figure in the cockpit. Maybe G1 Powerglide?s transformation scaled up to a Full sized Rattler I can?t really think of a Joe vehicle that would fit the price point, maybe the Mauler or Mobat?

    I'd expect a VAMP for the second set.

    I believe Hasbro could do a Hiss Tank Megatron that holds 3 3/4 at that price point. The Hiss Tank isn't really much larger than the alt mode a leader class Transformer.
