G.I. Joe Product Team Roundtable 4/28/2022
The G.I. Joe brand team sat down with multiple fan sites, streamers and the like today to discuss all things G.I. Joe Classified, specifically the reveals we got over the last week or so. Hisstank was able to join in and we’ve shared some notes from the event that are full of new information that fans will want to digest.
Erik Adventures in Collection – Are there plans to bring back older G.I. Joe stars into the G.I. Joe brand? Hasbro: They would love to work with future stars as the line progresses. No plans in the works that can be disclosed.
Hisstank – G.I. Joe Classified HasLab? Hasbro: They are currently asking for permission to move forward. They would love to bring the right vehicle to the fans. Still not decided what it will be if it does move forward.
Full force podcast Chris – Will G.I. Joe packaging go windowless? Hasbro: All packaging will be transitioning into this style of packaging. Foot lockers shown will hold weapons for the package. Box looks like a vault with key pads and will be numbered to figure identity. New O-Ring packaging for upcoming figures. Soft reboot of the O-Ring line.
Actionfigure Insider – Hasbro Pulse Troop Builders? Hasbro: They would love do extra troop builder packs. Working on an extended presence for the G.I. Joe brand on Hasbro Pulse. No details can be released yet.
Scott Toy Wizards – Snake Eyes and Timber what retail outlet will it be available? Hasbro: Mainline release will be widely available at all retail outlets that carry G.I. Joe. Sgt. Slaughter will be fan channel and Pulse preorder. Will be widely available in quantity. Blue Ninja 2-Pack is Amazon Exclusive.
General Notes
Walmart Retro Cards will be 8 figures only then will be switching to a new look that could not be disclosed at this time.
All Classified figures will have preorders moving forward.
Kamakura is an Amazon Exclusive
Dr. Mindbender – No preorder information or where it will be sold yet.
Tiger Force will be the next preorders that will ship out soon.

Anyway, since variants of popular characters are inevitable it would be cool if a future wave was an "Unmasked Wave," in which we got a disfigured Snake Eyes, an unmasked COBRA Commander, Destro, Beachhead, Shockwave, and unmasked army builders. Also, can we finally get a dedicated G.I. JOE Classified Series forum this year?
Unmasked disfigured Snake Eyes would be very sick. I would love Snakeeyes in the LRRP Vietnam war era fatigues pre-disfigurement, but that would be too good to be true.
And him, Stalker and Storm Shadow in a 3-pack, all in Nam garb and gear, would be incredibly awesome.
I’d be all for a Classified Classified figure. I thought that was a great inclusion in the later parts of the ‘O’ring era. I’ll take a Tommy Arashikage in fatigues too.
I think it is time for Hasbro to give us a proper unmasked, disfigured Snake Eyes head.
Another thing I really want to see a lot of in 2022 is muzzle flash accessories.
Hasbro are probably wary of offending people with facial disfigurements, so may never see a disfigured Snake Eyes, but Vietnam-era Snake Eyes (along with Stalker and Storm Shadow... hell, throw Wade Collins in there, as well) would be damn cool.
I'm old school, I don't think Snake Eyes' face should ever be seen.
Just nabbed another Bat on Amazon for $22 just now.
