G.I. Joe Classified Series HasLab 2023 Fans Choice Nomination Official Thread

After the huge success of the last Hasbro G.I. Joe HasLab H.I.S.S. Tank (winner of our last fans choice G.I. Joe HasLab poll) we once again wanted to give G.I. Joe fans a place to vote on what the next G.I. Joe HasLab 2023 should be and debate the ups and downs of each vehicle selection and characters that should be included.

The diversity in selection and it's likelihood of being funded are one of the ultimate debates among G.I. Joe - Cobra fans. Today we are starting up the nomination process that will lead to the top 5 most requested vehicles and playsets in G.I. Joe vs Cobra lore to be voted on in the future. There may be no guarantees that the Hasbro G.I. Joe team will be able to give us the winner of this event, however it will undoubtedly be excellent feedback.

The top 5 most requested G.I. Joe or Cobra vehicles and playsets will be put into a poll to decide the winner at a later date.

Please submit 5 vehicles or playsets. Be as detailed as you would like for further feedback on how the sets should be designed out with what characters and figures that should be included.

Dreadnok Thunder Machine with Dreadnok Army builders and Dreadnoks that can't or will not see mass retail.
G.I. Joe Mauler with green shirt army builders
Cobra Stinger with Cobra Trooper army builders
VAMP with green shirt army builders
D.E.M.O.N. Destro's Despoiler (updated) with IG Destro and IG's from POC and deep roster characters like General Mayhem, Mistress Armada, Voltar, Sergent Major

Runner up G.I. Joe Hammer

I would vote for a Dragonfly, but I'd like to see them base the Classified version on an Apache instead of the AH-1 Cobra (with Wild Bill, stretches for pilot Scarlett, Airborne since he was on the box art, maybe another chopper pilot like Windmill we're unlikely to get otherwise). My pie in the sky vote would be a Tomahawk. Comes with Lift Ticket, maybe a generic copilot deco-ed like the one that came with the ME Tomahawk, a crew member or two who could be repaints of the copilot to man the guns, maybe a Freefall?)

Wolverine for me. Some might say it's too small, but who's to say they can't make it a little bigger? The original always felt undersized to me anyway.

All I know is that covergirl feels incomplete without it, and it would look great in a display facing off against the hiss tank.

1) DREADNOK THUNDER MACHINE

Size wise, the Thunder Machine is about the same as the HISS tank, perfect size for a HasLab. What better way than this to release unlikely to sell individual figures like Thrasher and Zandar. With Zartan, Zarana already out and other Dreadnok's coming down the pipe, this would be a must have for most Joes fans.



2) Iron Grenadiers DEMON.

With the dockable Despoiler and Iron Grenadier gold/black/red Destro. Sure winner!



But who am I kidding? With the first vehicle being a Cobra vehicle, the second one would most likely be a Joe vehicle.

Top 5 potential Haslab vehicles (all assumed to be Classified scale):

1) Wolverine
2) Dragonfly
3) Thunder Machine
4) VAMP/Stinger
5) Cobra Troop Heli-carrier/Cobra Helicopter (not FANG but larger)

On a side note. I feel like I'm done with needing o-ring Joe Haslab's. Most of the OG vehicles hold up well enough and although I wouldn't sniff with derision at a new o-ring scale W.H.A.L.E. it's not a critical must have.

Let me stray from god's light and suggest a Terror Drome O-Ring HasLab for this year.

I love the suggestion of a D.E.M.O.N. personally, but think it's a little too off the beaten path to successfully fund.
