RenegadeCon Virtual 2023: Day-1 G.I. Joe Recap

Day-1 of RenegadeCon Virtual 2023 came to a close and the company teased several G.I. Joe products to be revealed during the 2nd day of the event.

The company showed off its subsequent expansion to G.I. Joe: Mission Critical RPG.

Titled Chaos Break, it will also include a pre-order promo pack. Additional details will be revealed tomorrow during the G.I. Joe event.

Renegade Games Studio stated that toy giant Hasbro was able to bring back the beloved Sargent Slaughter character.

“So, while we’re able to make Sergeant slaughter stuff, we’re going make Sergeant slaughter stuff and make them available for you. But if you are interested in Sergeant Slaughter. I would recommend not waiting on that because he will not be.””

Sarge is now included as a limited-edition accessory back for Mission Critical. The stock is extremely limited and once it runs out, there won’t be any more reissues.

“So limited means you’ll be able to get it from our website and selects Hobby Game stores out in the country that decide to partner with us. They won’t be widely available, so your best bet is to either get them from us or your friendly local game store and you need to bug them and tell them that they need to work directly with renegade to be able to have that.” 

Finally, the Deck Building Game side was covered with the recently revealed Transformers Crossover.

“This is called New Alliances and it’s a crossover with Transformers. So, you get to play using the mission deck and all the other things that you know and love from G.I. Joe Deck Building Game, but now we’re going to get a little bit of help from our Autobot friends.  

So, if you were a little worried about defeating Cobra, well now we’ve got some extra resources to help you out here, but also new challenges as well.”
