Paramount is set to release a special 4K UHD Blu-ray release to commemorate the 10-year anniversary of G.I. Joe: Retaliation.

Product Notes:

This hit sequel to the 2009 actioner finds most of the Joe team killed in an ambush and its remaining members wanted for a crime they didn’t commit. Now, Roadblock (Dwayne Johnson), Lady Jaye (Adrianne Palicki), Flint (D.J. Cotrona), and Snake Eyes (Ray Park) enlist the aid of old foe Storm Shadow (Byung-hun Lee) and the original G.I. Joe (Bruce Willis) to prove their innocence and stop the evil Cobra organization’s plot to rule the world.

    I want figures of The Cobra Commander and Jinx from the movie. No, not the banana mountain side Jinx. The one she wears the second half of the movie(see avatar).

    Does this version have the deleted scenes in it? I was told that this movie is much more palatable with those scenes in it. The editing of the theatrical release made this film seem like moving pictures, than an actual movie.

    My "favorite", by default. It's not bad, but I've only watched it twice, once in the theater and once to see the extended cut when I got the Blu-Ray. Decent chemistry between leads, ok plot.

    The "Extended Action Cut" was released on Blu-ray in 2013. It's 13 minutes longer overall. Some of the changes make it better, but others are actually disruptive to the pacing and flow. Overall, I felt the two versions were a draw. I really doubt the Extended version will win over anybody who didn't like the movie the first time around.

    Seems so odd to do a 10th anniversary for it. Did they do one for Rise of Cobra ?

    At first glance, I forgot Retaliation was the title of the second movie and thought it was an anniversary rerelease of Resolute.

    Talk about damning with faint praise, haha.

    It's a decent action flick that I enjoyed when I saw it, but it's not life changing or anything. The cast helps elevate it a little, at least. And it's certainly better than you would expect it to be with Rise of Cobra as its foundation.

    The version with the extra footage is "better" but Paramount really can't polish this lump anymore. Mostly terrible acting and, sadly, probably one of Bruce Willis's last "big" movies. Ray Stevenson needed a Firefly spin-off. So did Walt Goggins, though.
