Chris Hemsworth In Talks To Star In Transformers X G.I. Joe Crossover Movie

Rumors from The Hollywood Reporter suggest that Chris Hemsworth is in talks to star in the upcoming Transformers X G.I. Joe live-action movie.

Mr. Hemsworth is no stranger to Hasbro franchises as he is the main voice lead in the Transformers: One animated movie.

“Chris Hemsworth is doubling down on Transformers. The actor is in talks to lead an untitled crossover film for Paramount and Hasbro Entertainment that unites the Transformers and G.I. Joe franchises, The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed.

The proposed film follows the events of last year’s Transformers: Rise of the Beasts, which ended with Anthony Ramos’ Noah Diaz getting a job offer from the Joes. Director Steven Caple Jr. put the ending the script at the encouragement of producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura, with the filmmakers knowing it could take some maneuvering to make it happen.”

It is unclear if he will reprise his role as Optimus Prime or play a G.I. Joe character.

    Well, certainly can't wait for another movie wave or two to block up stores for years.

    Really, though, I can imagine this crap is gonna be BAD. What are GI Joes gonna do (unless they all have lasers) against giant robots?

    I can see mini sized human figures (like we get with the Whitwickeys) and large size Transformers for this line. Definitely not going to be selling O-Ring sets mass market as they have zero appeal to anyone under 40.

    Well on the bright the joes can always be used as pot hole filler. Seriously i hate this. Shoehorning gi joes future on the tf franchise is gonna end badly. If hasbro would stop with the garbage directors and casting and instead get a director who can do Military movie ( theres a shit ton out there ) and cast proper. No race or gender swaps (go joe has a diverse cast to draw from) and dont over saturate with movie toys.

    Until Lorenzo is gone GI Joe will always fail in the media.

    Maybe we should wait for any kind of casting news before complaining about it.
