PulseCon 2024 is in the books and has left us with one massive, and dangerous, question. What is the G.I. Joe Classified “The Hunt For The M.A.S.S. Device”? Will this be a theme that is exclusive to a specific retailer like G.I. Joe Classified Cobra Island was for Target? Will we be chasing M.A.S.S. Device parts like a Build-A-Figure situation? The options are many but I am personally most excited for an outcome of a G.I. Joe Classified M.A.S.S. Device sitting on the collection shelf.
We have attached images of a Custom G.I. Joe Classified The Hunt For The M.A.S.S. Device that was posted up by HissTank.com boards member Nacho back in 2022 showing off what can be done for this type of scaled up version. We have also included select examples of how the G.I. Joe Modern Era Hasbro team approached this project with box sets and random elements packed in with carded figures spreading out the “The Hunt For The M.A.S.S. Device”.

This could be fun. Not just a MASS Device, but maybe even figures and vehicles that made their debut in the mini?
Blue Baroness, Skystrikers, tan Clutch, gray Breaker, blonde Cover Girl and the Wolverine, Ace, Flash, Short-Fuze, Steeler, Polar Battle Bear, Hang-gliders, S.N.A.K.E.s, arctic/underwater figures, Cobra Temple, the Blind Woodsman - who I think of as early Zartan, General Flagg, Dr. Vandermeer, Selena the slave girl, Ramar the giant ... could this be the next Haslab?
One thing I'm hoping we get out of this is Scuba Baroness and those non-Eel Cobra divers.

I missed all the PulseCon content this year so I am not entirely sure what was mentioned. Seeing as how I was hoping for a MASS Device HasLab, this gives me hope we will at least get some MASS Device accessories of some sort. Or maybe it will just be a sub-line of figures in the style of that mini-series like DarkLordMordred mentioned. In any case, I am excited to learn more.
It's probably a stretch, but it would be cool to see them start telling a story over a year of releases. The Hunt for the Mass Device could be the theme for 2025 with each Wave telling the story of collecting one of the elements to power the device, a Classified version of the cartoon story rather than replicating cartoon figures. Sort of like how Night Force started out with a storyline about a Dark Energon mining accident. It would be cool if the diorama shots spotlighted key parts of the storyline and the new figures were the key players in each chapter.
Probably not likely, but I think that would be an awesome thread to follow for the year.
You can watch it on youtube. Honestly, it wasn't their best show. The video game demo was a really bad idea because that derailed the whole presentation. No name reveals or render reveals. The renders found their way online later in the day.
