This is pretty much what I expected to happen. Hasbro has become a licensing machine with regards to GI Joe. I don't own any Hiya figures, but apparently they've continued to improve. From what I've seen, their sculpts are very detailed. I'm looking forward to seeing the first wave.

That would suck. Which figure in particular? I hear the Predator figures are tall, but they're supposed to be.

Some of their offerings are probably under 4 inches. I would not say they are true 3.75 - they are still advertised as 4 inch, but their humans can run on the shorter side of 4 inch (with some of their DC females being way too short). But they make figures of all sizes within the scale. Predators are over 4 inches (as they should be). Their Darkseid (from a DC video Game) was tall. I'm not sure we can be certain if they are doing 4 inch figures that they will be short. My DC Red Hood figure is fantastic and I only got it because the character has a more military or operator look and it fits in perfectly with Joes and MTF. I can say that their Marines from the Alien line fit in very well aesthetically with Joes. So they can make a Joe type figure if that makes sense - military with a dash of fantasy. I think there is little doubt that the figures will look good if they are making them. And the chances of them blending in with ME Joes, MTF, Joy Toy or whatever fantasy military you collect is pretty good - if you don't mind some variation in height (I personally don't want my figures to be exactly the same height - that's not realistic to me but that's just me). If you need them to be uniformly the same height as MTF or as tall as a some of the giant Joes like 50th Anniv Gung Ho - they probably won't be that.

I own a few hiya figure. quality is very sub par. Pop apart very easily, and can hardly be used as fodder.

Keep your expectations low, and you will never be disappointed

In all fairness, most offerings pale in comparison to your creations. ;-)

Hiya toys look amazing, but they are more of just small statues. They are small and fragile so not really "toys" to be played with. Pose em and leave em, gotta be gentle with them. Great sculpts and decent paint, very detailed, just not very rugged builds
