Hasbro is all set to live broadcast their annual Investor Day on October 4th, 2022.

For those who do not know, Hasbro’s Investor Day is the equivalent of Disney’s D23 (well, sort of). Every year Hasbro will showcase its entire plan for the following year. Since very recently, Hasbro has ditched its usual formal approach to Investor Day in favor of a much more entertaining one; akin to the aforementioned D23.

Hasbro will discuss and showcase future plans for almost all of its properties. This year’s event is set to go on for a whopping  3 and a half hours starting from 9 AM EDT.

We expect to see and hear about Transformers: Rise of the Beasts, Transformers: Earthspark, G.I. Joe Classified Series, G.I. Joe: Snake Eyes console game, the Agreement between Hasbro and Paramount, the new Comic Book License for Transformers and G.I. Joe properties, and many more.

To celebrate the 40th Anniversary of G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero, New Zealand Mint has produced a 1oz limited-edition silver coin.

There will only be 1,982 coins to be purchased (get it? for the year 1982) at US$ 99.00 each.

“Yo Joe! Celebrate the 40th anniversary of G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero with this action-packed memento!

Featuring the first cover of the comic book series in 1982, this rectangular 1oz pure silver coin shows the Joe team in full colour with the 40th-anniversary logo at the top. Hasbro has applied for a brand new G.I. Joe trademark at the United States Patent & Trademark Office (USPTO).

Categorized under Entertainment Services, Hasbro has expressed that the trademark is applicable for (but not limited to) Movies, Television Series, and Animated Series.

The timing of this application coincides with the recently revealed info of an Animated Series set to debut in 2022. It is likely that Hasbro is preparing things behind the scenes as we speak.

It is also worth noting that this is not a renewal. The filing is documented under Basis 1(b), meaning the Trademark is applied not for an existing use but for future use. Hasbro’s existing G.I. Joe trademarks including the Snake Eyes movie mark are still in Active status at USPTO.

HISSTANK attended the Licensing Con Brazil event and Marcelo Masotti – Head of Licensing, Hasbro Brazil announced that the toy company will debut a brand new animated series based on G.I. Joe.

The series is set to release in 2022 with season 2 in 2023.

With a massive surprise, which makes Unicron feel like a ping-pong ball, the developers of Transformers: Earth Wars unveiled G.I. Joe and Cobra forces as future updates for the aforementioned mobile game.

Hasbro acquiring eOne; the owner of Peppa Pig and The Walking Dead, among other things, was one of the biggest business news to come out last week. During Hasbro’s special Investor & Press Meeting, the toy giant stated that they are in active discussions with eOne to bring new initiatives based on several Hasbro brand to the television.

Speaking to Yahoo Finance, Hasbro stated that one such property is G.I. Joe.

We currently do not know any additional info regarding the said initiative other than the fact that Magic: The Gathering, Dungeons & Dragons and G.I. Joe is included among the several brands, but this is an exciting news nevertheless.

Here’s a small news which flew under the radar thanks to all the cool news which dropped throughout the past couple of weeks. Allspark Animations (formerly Hasbro Studios), SVP of global distribution and development Finn Arnesen has stepped down from his position to hand over the reins to Nina Scales.

Mr. Arnesen was instrumental in developing and distributing popular Hasbro shows such as Transformers: Prime, Transformers: Rescue Bots, My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic, G.I. Joe: Renegades, Transformers: Robots In Disguise and many more. His work resulted in Hasbro content being seen today in more than 195 territories across multiple platforms.

Mrs. Scales will step into the role of SVP of global distribution, reporting to Stephen Davis (Hasbro CCO and EVP).

We wish Nina Scales the best of luck, and a bright future to Finn Arnesen on his upcoming endeavors.
