The Summer NJCC 2017 features a huge dealer room for Transformers, Marvel, G.I. Joe, DC and 80’s to current pop culture merchandise! NJCC is an action figure toy collector focused event. Boss Fight Studio will be set up showing off the latest and greatest from VITRUVIAN H.A.C.K.S. including Zombies, Bucky O’Hare and for the first time at retail SERIES 2 – VITRUVIAN H.A.C.K.S.! James Griffiths (Griff) is an illustrator/conceptual artist: Working for Hasbro Entertainment conceptualizing and designing figures, working for BLT Communications creating imagery for Movie posters like Avengers and Frozen, and working on branding and exclusive pieces of art work for different conventions and actors. James will be siging at the Boss Fight Studio booth. Wait that’s not all… NJCC will also have a get together at Red, Hot and Blue – Saturday Night starting at 8PM to celebrate the launch of SERIES 2 – VITRUVIAN H.A.C.K.S. in an adult way (must be 21 to enter) Stayed tuned for the announcement of the Boss Fight Studio Custom Class…

Marauder Task Force is back and this time they are bringing the heat with the NJCC Exclusive Marauder Task Force Engineer Ops figures! With never ending combinations of customization, awesome articulation, weapons and gear how can you go wrong? Marauder Gun Runners will be set up at NJCC.

Well my friends, another year, another G.I.Joe Convention draws to a close. After next year, that won’t be a statement I’ll be able to repeat for the foreseeable future.

If you haven’t heard by now, it’s been confirmed that there will be no G.I.Joe retail presence in either 2017 or 2018. After next year, there will be no G.I.Joe Club offerings, either. The next time we see G.I.Joe will be via media tie in (movie, TV, etc). Mr. Derryl DePriest noted that G.I.Joe will not be licensed, as Hasbro plans to re-imagine the brand.

That said though, there will be a G.I.Joe presence at HasCon, with details to be provided in 2 weeks. It will be the Friday of HasCon and will run attendees $600. Word has it that they’re working hard to ensure that the ticket price is worth it, so let’s stay positive and see what happens. Derryl has always worked to do the best that he can for the brand in the past and I’m sure this new scenario will be no different.

As far as new toys go, fret not! There’s still that awesome Cobra Missile Command HQ coming out, plus there’s a full year of offerings from the G.I.Joe Club, including Heartwrencher and the Dreadnok Ground Assault, FSS 7 and more. Rock n Roll v2 as the Club incentive figure? Sign me up! G.I.Joe has been here before and we as fans were waiting for it on the other side. I’m sure we’ll do so again this time around.

Also, I’d like to personally salute Joe Declassified for their amazing tribute to Goggles. The sightline figure that was given away will undoubtedly be cherished by all that were able to obtain one and it couldn’t have been executed in a manner more fitting. Kudos, Gents.

Our friends at Just Another G.I.Joe Show are bringing us the scoop live from the G.I.Joe Collectors Club Round Table at GIJoeCon 2017. We’ll update this post with new details as they’re shared. Info received so far –

  • 4th Quarter will bring us the Dreadnok Mechanic, Heartwrencher and the Dreadnok Stinger 4×4
  • The 2018 G.I.Joe Club Attendee figure will be Rock & Roll v2
  • The 2018 G.I.Joe Club 12 inch figure was noted as “As seen on TV gray”
  • Also for 12 inch will be all branches of the Service

The team at Joe Declassified have shared word of an amazing tribute that they’ve put together to honor the memory of Mr. Gary Head, aka Gyre-Viper, aka Goggles. Although Gary’s memory will always live on through his family and friends, this is our second chance to add a homage to Gary to our collections.

Sightline is a classic o-ring style figure that will definitely become the crown jewel of your collection. How do you get one? Here’s the scoop from Joe Declassified –

This figure and bio card were made in tribute of our late friend and Declassified staff member Gary Head.

The Sightline figure is an o-ring factory produced custom. We will have approximately 1000 available for FREE for give away at Joe Con in Orlando. Figures will be available at the Joe Declassified booth only, and are limit 1 per customer. Photo ID must be presented in order to obtain the figure. For those under 18 who do not have ID, they must be accompanied by a parent with ID in order to get their figure. Unfortunately, figures were shipped without backpack and rifle, but we are working a plan should those arrive.

If we have left over figures (doubtful) we will do our best to find a way make them available to the community at large, whether by contest or other means. We will not be selling these figures at any time.

Gary would always hide figures around the convention floor, so make sure to keep your eyes peeled.

Our friends from  Just Another G.I.Joe Show have shared images of this year’s convention attendee exclusive item. Although we’re awaiting the “official” name, the freebie is a G.I.Joe L.A.W., repainted in gray & blue and designated as a Cobra platform. This was done to go alongside the Cobra Laser Viper 3 pack being offered at the show.
