Throwback: the early 80s. The hair is high and so is the volume of the music coming out of the boombox speakers. You’ve just discovered the coolest cartoon ever made, G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero. You can’t get enough of it. Will the Joes finally be able to defeat Cobra once and for all?!? You’ll happily help the cause by setting up elaborate missions with your favorite action figures, played out in sandboxes, swimming pools, backyards, and bedrooms. The only thing missing from your epic adventures is the baddest combat jet known to any Joe: the Skystriker. It’s time to fulfill — or relive if you were one of the lucky ones — your childhood dreams.
That’s right. It’s the 21st century now and for G.I. Joe’s first ever HasLab we are bringing the afterburner-level heat and re-issuing the Skystriker with some awesome modern updates and incredible, exclusive unlocks. All to celebrate the 40th Anniversary of G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero. Sure, the Skystriker has been done before (and it’s awesome every time) but never like this. Only with modern technology are we able evolve this classic combat jet by adding the most precise detail and design to bring it from the 80s to the FUTURE. Because the future is now.
The Skystriker isn’t the only incredible item you’ll be able to display in your G.I. Joe collection when you fund this HasLab. You’ll also get two o-ring figures with HasLab exclusive deco – Ace and Wayne Ruthel! The original fighter pilot, Ace, looks just as you remember him in a traditional deco scheme. And Wayne Ruthel has deco designed to call back to the original Skystriker packaging. If these two legendary action figures aren’t enough to blow your mind, we have even more to add!
You’ll be able to unlock up to 3 different tiers with even more exclusively decoed o-ring action figures and accessories, including Scarlett in a flight suit for the first time ever, Rip Cord in Night Force colors, and 2 Pit Crew members to man the runway vehicles. Fund this project today to start fighting for freedom wherever there’s trouble!
A while back, we reported that Disguise Costumes has manufactured Haloween costumes based on Snake Eyes: G.I. Joe Origins movie. It so happens that the company has now released a Walmart Exclusive line of G.I. Joe-related Haloween costumes titled as ‘Retro Line‘.
We do not think that it’s a mere coincidence that the Walmart Exclusive line is called Retro Line when the toy counterpart is also named the same. However, the packaging is decorated with Classified Series Snake Eyes and Storm Shadow.
You can check out the mirrored images, after the jump.

Hasbro’s Senior Marketing Manager Irvin Ducournau has updated his Linkedin profile to include some valuable details regarding the modern G.I. Joe initiatives by the toy giant.
Mr. Ducournau also highlights the term G.I. Joe Evergreen, which HISSTANK exclusively revealed prior to the official rename and the announcement of the G.I. Joe Classified Series.
It’s interesting to note that the modern initiative is a 3 to 5-Year Project. Therefore, we’ll likely see Classified Series and the Retro Line well into the following years if things go well. If this is the case, 2021 is a crucial year to evaluate the G.I. Joe brand on where it stands.
Even though Irvin Ducournau has moved onto Power Rangers, we wish him the best for all his endeavors.

Special thanks to HISSTANK Boards Member SwordMonkey, we now have several in-hand images of G.I. Joe Retro Line Wave 4 (the figures are literally in hand).
These figures were located in a Walmart in Central New York.
Each case only contained Stalker & Cobra Trooper; 3 each for a total of 6. As we discovered, it is now clear that Wave 4 only consists of 2 characters and it is also likely that Wave 5 is close behind with 2 more.
You can check out the images, after the jump.
With the news of Retro Line Wave 4 popping up at a Walmart in Georgia, HISSTANK decided to dig the Walmart App for potential UPC codes assigned to the upcoming wave.
With special thanks to Shawn Davids, who seems to be the originator of the images floating around, we were able to acquire the UPCs of Retro Stalker and Retro Cobra Trooper from the back of the carded figures. It didn’t take long to discover the UPC of the 3rd figure; since Retro Waves usually consist of three 3.75 inch G.I. Joe toys.
To our surprise, we found a 4th.
The 4th UPC is also priced similar to a single carded figure rather than a figure + vehicle pack. However, since Assortment Codes are also priced in a similar manner, we had to take a look at how Retro Assortments are usually denoted. Once again to our surprise, the listing lacked the usual ‘AST’ notation.
Since the card backs of Stalker and Cobra Trooper do not indicate the third figure, we may even be looking at Wave 5 of the Retro Line. Only time will tell (or at least during Walmart Collector Con 2021).
