HissTank member samsson37 has just surpassed 80,000 views on his GI Joe/Marvel Fan fiction dio story, The Initiative.

This wildly popular story has all of your favorite Joes and Cobras as well as all the characters from the Marvel Universe wrapped up in one massive tale that will keep you entertained and coming back for more.

Synopsis:

The world changed on that fateful day in 2012. When we found out we weren’t alone. The Alien hordes fell from the sky and the human race looked to be nearing extinction. That day was when the world learned of the Avengers and superpowered beings. That day also signaled the decommission of the GI Joe team. They were rendered obsolete. Government money poured into SHEILD and other agencies equipped to handle larger threats. This was the perfect time for COBRA the ruthless terrorist organization determined to rule the world to go underground and wait. Years have passed and there is a buzz in the underworld. COBRA is ready to return. Nick Fury the director of SHIELD sensing the impending danger decided that it was time to bring back the one team that could crush COBRA once and for all…GI JOE.

Rank & File Volumes 2 And 3 Kickstarter Is Live!

Posted on March 2, 2018 at 3:18 pm by xerofall under G.I. Joe 25th Anniversary, G.I. Joe 30th Anniversary, G.I. Joe Movie, HissTank Community

Thanks to HissTank member KuuKuuSon for informing us that his Kickstarter for his Rank & File Volumes 2 & 3 are live!

The Rank & File Guide volumes 2 and 3 archive the remaining mass produced G.I. Joe product by fully displaying every G.I. Joe action figure produced between the The Rise of Cobra, The Pursuit of Cobra, 30th Anniversary/Renegades, Retaliation, 50, and G.I. Joe Basic Asst. series; complete with every accessory and variation produced.

Not only are the accessories shown alongside the action figures, they have been carefully cataloged in an upcoming volume to guarantee the proper shade of accessory goes to the appropriate action figure. To top it off, every vehicle and play set released in the 4″ era has been documented and every easily removable piece has been individually photographed, ensuring collector completion. Theses full color, 52 page and 48 page (respectably) resource manuals beautifully illustrate the six series’ combined 328 action figures, 77 vehicles, and every accessory, including all known variations.

Not only is every accessory present and accounted for, they have each been assigned a unique number and identified throughout the resource guides. Each action figure has been carefully examined between its initial run and further re-releases to ensure that an accurate sample is clearly and concisely presented; perfect for the collector who is identifying individual action figures or sorting through unorganized lots.

IDW G.I. Joe ARAH #217 Cobra Rising Part 2 Preview

Posted on August 18, 2015 at 12:53 pm by DESTRO under G.I. Joe Comics

We finally have a run of 10 pages that could be considered “Cobra Rising”, after we are two-issues deep. The Death of Snake Eyes story is still mixed in issue #217, but we do get a few cool Cobra’s that show up, as well as a take on an old school classic vehicle, even tho it makes no sense why Cobra would be using it? Anyway it’s a small… very small step forward.

Classic G.I.Joe A Real American Hero Operation Decoy Artwork By Earl Norem

Posted on April 29, 2015 at 9:42 pm by C.I.A.D. under G.I. Joe Vintage

As you know, or in case you haven’t yet heard, our good friend 3DJoes is putting together a book that collects all of the painted art of G.I. Joe from 1982 and 1983. He’s come across a piece in a recent search and thankfully, he’s shared it here with us!

“Operation Decoy” was the title for a Super-Size coloring book released in 1983. This classic piece of ARAH artwork shows members from the original line up of G.I.Joe, such has Scarlett, Breaker and Stalker, heading off to fight for freedom where ever there’s trouble!

This piece will become the last page of the aforementioned book, so you’ll have a chance to add it to your collection!

You can check out more amazing art from Mr. Earl Norem, including art for G.I.Joe, Transformers, He-Man and more by visiting the Official Earl Norem Art Facebook Page.
