Cancelled 2013 GI Joe Retaliation Ultimate Gift Set Revealed

Back in 2013, Hasbro was releasing “Ultimate Gift Sets” for its action figure lines such as Star Wars and Transformers. A GI Joe Ultimate Gift Set was in the works and actually listed on Amazon for a time. Unfortunately, this set was cancelled and we never saw the actual figures planned for inclusion….until now.

We aren’t completely sure if all of the accessories to be included, are actually shown in the pictures. Slice and Nunchuk both ended up being released in the GI Joe Collector’s Club Subscription line(with some different tooling compared to what’s seen here). Unfortunately, movie accurate Retaliation Cobra Commander and the specific Roadblock seen here remain to be seen. Sure, we did get a Ultimate Roadblock figure in 2013 but it wasn’t as comprehensive as this.

The “Ultimate Gift Set” Roadblock featured 3 heads: classic, movie and 1 from GI Joe Renegades! It also came with different gear to swap out. Had this set been released, fans would’ve finally gotten a fairly movie-accurate Retaliation Cobra Commander and the sole member missing from the core Renegades team. Could there still be hope? Hasbro doesn’t like sitting on unused tooling and who knows what’s going on with GI Joe 3?

G.I.Joe Collectors Club Figure Subscription Service 4.0 Payment Dates And Arrival Information

Remember the 4th wave of figures from the G.I.Joe Club’s Figure Subscription Service? Well guess what?! Information regarding the latest FSS has been sent to Club Members! Here’s the meat of the message:

Installment payments will be collected on March 16th and May 2nd, 2016.
The 1st shipment from China will arrive in the next couple of days.

We are unsure as to when the figures will be shipped to Club Members after they’ve arrived at Fun Pub’s warehouse, but many are hopeful that it’ll be sometime soon. Join in on the discussion already in progress after the break.

G.I.Joe Club FSS 4 Updates – Head Sculpts, Accessories and Female 13th Figure

No, you didn’t read that wrong. Over the last couple of days, the G.I.Joe Club has been sharing new images of items from their upcoming G.I.Joe Figure Subscription Service 4.0. As registration for the latest rendition of the service ends tomorrow, the Club has gone “pedal to the metal”, sharing sculpt images, figure images showing each characters back and announcing that the 13th mystery figure will be a female figure with a new head sculpt! Included in the images are:

Head Sculpts – Billy Arboc and Tiger Force Outback.
Accessories – Hard Copy images of Tiger Force Sneak Peek’s periscope.
Figure Reveals – Each figure offered in FSS 4 were originally revealed showing only the figures “front side”. The latest images show each characters back and any applicable accessories that the figure may include.

G.I.Joe Collectors Club Figure Subscription Service 4 Pre Orders Begin Soon!

Today via the G.I.Joe Club Forums came word that the 4th round of their Figure Subscription Service will kick off at some point this week, allowing Club Members to get their pre-orders in.
