Although we’ve been seeing tons of images of the upcoming Acid Rain Laurel (303 Marine), here’s something new to whet your appetite for the Acid Rain World! Today via the Acid Rain World Instagram Page, our friend Kit Lau posted a sketch and bio for a newly introduced faction in to the Acid Rain World, the Omanga Soldiers!

Omanga has developed nuclear technology and started to use nuclear plants to generate power. With the experience that nuclear power is far more efficient than fossil energy, they have more resources to develop biochemical and mechanical technology. Omanga has expanded the use of nuclear power to an unprecedented level. Finally its first generation nuclear plant at the north exploded in an accident and released large quantities of radioactive particles into the atmosphere.

This catastrophic disaster has resulted half of the territory of Omanga and some of the neighbouring states were contaminated. Most of the populations at the north moved to the south. With resources pressure, Omanga has become more aggressive and started its invasion to the border of Gafia.

I don’t know about you, but if you’re an Acid Rain fan like me, then this bit of news is all sorts of exciting as it’ll surely bring all sorts of new awesome to our collections! Our good friend, Mr. Kit Lau, has posted the image below on the Official Acid Rain World Instagram Page. The image highlights a new construction style that will be used for upcoming Acid Rain World offerings.

This new arm construction style will debut with the upcoming Omanga Soldiers. We’ll bring you more details as they become available.

Our friend and Acid Rain World creator, recently updated the Official Acid Rain World Instagram page with images of new Vehicles & Mechs! These updates revolve around repaints of already established vehicles/mechs, but with that said, these are absolutely fantastic. It’s unknown yet whether or not these will be exclusive offerings, but there some “standard release” items mixed in, so let’s check them all out!

First up is a repaint of the Acid Rain Raptor Speeder Mk I. The new deco is a purple and white “Royal Milk” Chocolate factory design and includes a pilot very similar to what will be released with the Laurel. The Instagram page gives us an scenario behind the repaint – In the Acid Rain World, Chocolate is valued as high as Diamonds. As such, the “Royal Milk Chocolate Factory” has it’s own security forces…and it would be wise not to approach too closely.

Next is a “Japan Defense” version of the upcoming Laurel Mech Suit! This repaint is fantastic, presenting an all white Laurel with the classic “Japanese Rising Sun” emblem and of course, the level of detail and weathering that we’ve come to expect from all Acid Rain product.

While on the topic of the Laurel, also included in the images are a new mock up of the upcoming Worker Laurel, an all yellow mech suit that immediately reminds one of the Power Loader from Aliens! There’s also a close up image of some of the detailing work on one of the Laurel Mech suits. Again, the attention to detail is top notch!

Finally in this round of updates, there’s a side-by-side size comparison pic of a Raptor Mk I and the upcoming Acid Rain Flak Bike. The Flak Bike is nearly twice the size of the Raptor and will make a great addition to any Acid Rain and/or G.I.Joe collection.

Our friends at Ori Toy have share a fantastic gallery of the upcoming Acid Rain Laurel Mech. The Laurel Marine shares the same color scheme as the Stronghold Marine and Raptor Mk I, bolstering the Marine force with new mechanized armored suits.

The images shared are amazing, giving us a full turn around view of the Marine Laurel, including images of the highly detailed cockpit and service panel. Also shown is the Laurel Mech Pilot (the same figure we saw not too long ago that sports an new style of helmet). We’ve mirrored them here for your review.

Our friend Kit Lau has posted images of the highly anticipated Acid Rain World Flak Bike in both forms, along with images of new trooper types and new gear on the Official Acid Rain World Instagram Page. Before we get in to the Flak Bike, lets talk about those troopers! The Arctic Bob figure makes and appearance alongside what appears to be a Sol Commander with a fur collared parka. There is also a new trooper type, sporting a cloth goods camouflage jacket, vest and a BMF gun! My personal favorite is what appears to be a new trooper, using a clever blend of mixing and matching previous parts with a new, almost virtual reality style helmet that looks all sorts of cool (think Data Viper meets Acid Rain World).

Time to get to the Meat and Potatoes. As noted earlier, included in the images are two shots of the upcoming Flak Bike, a vehicle that transforms in to a long range cannon. Here’s a brief description from Kit –

Fb7 , the first transformable machine after World War II. It is not an autonomous armor typed machine; The soldiers have to get off the bike to press the button to trigger it’s transformation. The good side of it is that it does not need soldiers to move it to the shooting point. In the Acid Rain World, this machine has become old fashioned after several generations of new armor development.

At most, if not all Conventions, exclusives are offered to those in attendance. It’s a great way to promote, market and showcase a specific item or brand offering.

That said, Exclusives can sometimes be very frustrating for Collectors as Convention Exclusive items aren’t always available to General Public. This wouldn’t necessarily be a big deal, but most of the time the aforementioned exclusive offering is something that would be better fit for retail release.

Thankfully, our friends behind the Acid Rain World have executed a perfect Convention Exclusive offering – A unique piece that doesn’t take away from the main line while offering something fun to pick up while at a show…and what a fun offering it is.

Acid Rain has been putting out high end military figures and vehicles for a bit now, working in the 3.75 scale for the most part. Their most recent release was the Raptor Speeder MK I, and we were able to run it through a nice photo shoot.
