Today Hasbro held an all-new G.I. Joe themed Fan First Friday. Below, you can check out a recap of the news from the stream. The team revealed new G.I. Snake Eyes Movie Storm Shadow Sword And Brand New Gloves Revealed

Once again thanks to Pure Costumes, we have another set of Snake Eyes: G.I. Joe Origins role play products by Disguise Inc.; an official license-holder for the movie.

This time we have Storm Shadow’s sword and gloves. As with Snake Eyes’ sword, this too is a repaint of Storm Shadow’s sword from G.I. Joe: Retaliation and Rise Of Cobra. Instead of the mostly white colors of the originals, this repaint is mostly black.

Gloves however is a brand new design. This could very well be our first look at an actual part of Storm Shadow’s costume from the upcoming movie. Storm Shadow’s design for Rise Of Cobra and Retaliation had fingerless gloves whereas this new design is a full pair of gloves covering the fingers. Disguise has now produced non-repainted, movie identical gloves for all three movies for Storm Shadow. Interestingly, the design shares some similarities with the Classified Series look, albeit being white/grey in color instead of black as seen on Classified Series artwork.

G.I. Joe Classified Snake Eyes 00 Deluxe Preview Figure In Depth Gallery

Finally! After about 2 months of press releases, toy fair shots, leaked pics and reviews, actual retail shipments of G.I. Joe Classified Deluxe Snake Eyes have finally started hitting front doors. There were two waves of orders on day 1 – the first sold out pretty quick and those shipped last week. The second round were advertised to ship in June/July so if you haven’t got one yet, hold tight it’s coming later this year. Luckily we were able to get in on round one and today we are posting our pics and thoughts on the first 6 inch G.I. Joe figure, hopefully of many more to come – Deluxe Snake Eyes!

Read on to check out over 115 HD shots we took here at home base. These include basic white BG shots showing what he can do as a figure, the parts, some comparisons, and then some fancy shots at the end to get us all hype for some tabletop battles down the road!

Hasbro Pulse G.I. Joe Fan First Friday Update For November 20th

The official social media accounts of Hasbro announced yesterday that another Fan First Friday will take place on 20th November for the G.I. Joe franchise.

An update to the announcement now indicates what we will get to see during the event.

As usual, G.I. Joe Classified series and Retro Line will take the spotlight; before handing over to Super7.

Yo Joe! Next up in our looks at G.I. Joe Classified Wave 1 is #01 Roadblock. He’s #01 in line, and features a mix of old cues and new elements throughout. He ties with Scarlett for wave 1 figures with elements long time fans have concerns with. Aside from a couple misfires in actual production, the core sculpt and figure is solid. G.I. Joe Classified Duke In-Hand Gallery

Next up in our reviews of G.I. Joe Classified Wave 1 is none other than Duke! A true gem of a figure, Duke is #04 in the line. He features a very faithful look to his cartoon roots with a touch of upgrade throughout. He comes packed with a laser rifle, pistol, binoculars and backpack. He has a shoulder harness, belt and leg holster that can be removed at will. Sculpt is top notch, especially in the head department – a chiseled mug and military cut really capture the essence of Duke that 3.75 never did in my opinion. G.I. Joe Classified Baroness and C.O.I.L. In-Hand Gallery

Straight from the terrorist organization(s) nefarious plot to give collectors across the country heart attacks and strokes, today we are taking a look at the exclusive Cobra Island Baroness and C.O.I.L. set. The first 3 exclusives – Cobra Trooper, Beach Head and Roadblock V2 came first, with Baroness hitting stores a week or so later. She is still trickling out, so if you are still looking hopefully you can score without hitting the aftermarket. I was lucky enough to have a friend of a friend find one in the wild and offer it at cost, so big props to KamenRiderOOO and TokuChris over at TokuNation for that. That being said, I’ve hit Targets an absolutely stupid amount of times since the end of July, probably more than I have been in that store in the last 3 years combined, and have only seen Roadblock on the pegs, once. And that’s with tracking via Popfindr, bugging employees, and doing 100 mile circuits (at the start of this mess).

What makes it all that more frustrating – these figures are GREAT. And Baroness especially. Modernized suit with classic notes, color palette on point, epic face sculpt, good weapons. It has it all. The bike – the sculpt is good for a future techy style vehicle, but there is a lot of raw plastic going on and it feels a bit Playskool. Some detailed paint and washing to bring it a bit more real world and it could work.

Bottom line – Baroness is a win. Hopefully she keeps releasing widely at stores, and really – hopefully she releases single packed with minimal changes down the road. Red, blue and alt decos are cool, but she needs to be easily accessible in this black version at some point.

G.I. Joe Classified Arctic Mission Storm Shadow In-Hand Gallery

Next up in our G.I. Joe Classified galleries is the Amazon exclusive Arctic Mission Storm Shadow. This is a play on the Ninja Force Storm Shadow deco from the 90s, right down to the white blocking on his navy blue torso. He also comes with a white ice pick (sickle) like the original. Sword, sheath, grapple hook and cord, bow, arrow and non-functional quiver are also included, so he is ready for action. The hood is removable exposing a sharp navy blue head wrap revealing just the eyes. I preferred it this way once in hand. Structurally – he was very loose. The torso bend and waist joint are floppy. Hips are a tad. Makes for some very insecure posing. Once you get it there, so long as you don’t try to fine tune much, he can stand though.

All in all a solid design, but I am eagerly waiting for a traditional Storm Shadow to take top billing on the shelf!

He is currently sold out, but has been randomly coming back in stock at Amazon for short bursts. Keep checking here and good luck!
