So here we are three official issues deep into Cobra World Order with three issues leading up to CWO, and still very little action… (unless you include Fake Eyes beating up your Grandmother)…. Until the Dreadnoks show up that is!
G.I. JOE: A Real American Hero #221 Cobra World Order Part 3
Larry Hama (w) • S L Gallant (a) • Phil Jimenez (c)
G.I. Joe begins to probe the depths of Cobra’s malevolent plan, but as intrigue after intrigue continues to stack up, even the Real American Heroes will hardly be prepared for Cobra Commander’s next move!
If you decide to read on this review will contain Major Spoilers.
For me the CWO story line is unfolding way to slow. We have basically six books within the series, and little to no action and more Death of Snake Eyes that most people want to see go away. Issue #221 does have a highlight with the Dreadnoks putting a beat down on a handful of Cobra and Red Shadow troops.
It’s looking more and more like we are going to get one book full of action, and the rest filled with Death of Snake Eyes and Duke’s new wife drama. I’m sorry to be so negative but this is not what I want to read in a G.I. Joe comic book.
As always this is just one Man’s opinion on the current status of IDW’s G.I. Joe ARAH #221. I welcome all of you on the Tank that have been keeping up with the story to sound off and let us know what you think. See you after the jump.

I do agree with the review. In the old days of this comic run, when it was with Marvel, a big event story usually had a huge battle with lots and lots of Joes and Cobras involved, like the Battle of Springfield or the Cobra Island Civil War story arcs. Teams of Joes going into battle on a mission. Even so, I would still keep buying this continuation by Larry Hama.

A bit of a revelation on the letters page.
Among other announced appearances Larry Hama will be at Mighty Con June 18th and 19th.

Saw the preview pages.
Dreadnoks triumph over Night Vipers, Red Shadows, a HEAT Viper and blue ninjas? Seems more likely they'd get chopped up into bits. I guess they want those Blue Ninjas to be reduced to the effectiveness of Power Ranger putties. If a cyborg/robot ninja can't get a hit in on some aging bikers...what's the point of them?

One word: boring. You don't know how much it pains me to say that.
And with the IDW forum boards down now for a month (why?), there's no way to let them know just how boring it is.

I have emailed them twice about the forums being down. You should check out the IDW Godzilla forum. Spam City. Needs some tender care.

Finally got around to read this issue and was totally bored with it. If this is the final story arc I can see why.
