EXTREMELY slow and disappointed. That’s how I would describe Cobra World Order. You could have removed over half of this issue and you would not be missing a thing (much like previous issues). Still no real action to be found, and the pace is very repetitive. And why are the Dreadnoks on the cover of this issue? The cover of this book makes it look like a huge battle is inside… Not Even!

It looks like we will finally see some action next issue, but I'm sure it will be drawn out before the first shot is fired. It will be 10 pages of look "I'm in position ready to fight" then somebody will push a button on the last page starting the battle.

I'm starting to think Larry might be getting G.I. JOE confused with Wolverine his plots over the last year would fit better with his run on the former member of Alpha Flight then it does with A REAL AMERICAN HERO. Or maybe Batman,Nth Man,Bucky Ohare.

I'm totally digging it.
And not just for the reasons everyone will assume.

I agree it's a super slow burn but I get to see all my old favourite Joes from the 80s again, (unlike other IDW G.I. Joe series where most characters are indistinguishable and people like Mainframe are the main protagonists). That's really all I need. Easily my favourite comic out there right now.

Looks great! Glad to see Duke in combat!
Hopefully Metal head makes an appearance in this arc!

I can see you didn't read the comic yet, just looked at the pictures?

Again, not a shot fired... unless you count Duke's retconned flashback. (sigh) Really am keeping fingers crossed that Hama delivers before the entire series is cancelled.

For a writer who hates dialogue, there sure was a lot...and all of it terribly boring.
I think I missed something, though. Wendy was brain-waved, yet handed over the plans and key words for activation? They WERE the correct words, as the Siegies all received those 3 words in this issue.
Again, must have missed something. May have dozed off in between pages.

I think the Cobra name for the operation : "Ms Marco" may have been a clue. Google marco and red herring and you may see a connection? I didn't dig too far into the possibilities.
I think that Cobra may have given the Joes a list of targets with the right codewords, but they are designed to send the Joes on wild goose chases.

From the beginning this has felt to me so much like the Devils' Due WW3 storyline from years ago, and so far it hasn't changed my mind. That isn't a good thing either.
