Wow. DiBonaventura just does not get it. He says he's a fan, but he's clearly never read the comic book if he doesn't think COBRA can be a viable threat. He mentioned Snake-eyes not being able to see. I hope he was joking. I'm sick of this producer BS, "I'm a big fan". Sure you are.
The TF movie may or may not suck, but at least they started off on the right foot. They did a smart thing by getting fan input, an experiment you can be sure will not be repeated, due to the cantankerous relationship between Don Murphy and some TF fans. But this time... this time, they're just blowing it from the word "go".
I can understand the business side of it, that a flag-waving G.I.Joe movie may not sell well overseas. But if the script is right, and you can inject some Hama-esque conflict, it could work. In the comic, the Joes were constantly put in moral dillemas, and shafted by politicians. Again, if Lorenzo actually read the comic, he'd understand that.
But if, in fact, the political climate isn't right for this film to be done justice, then it should be put on the back-burner until things change. It may be in 2 years, it may be never. But I would rather this movie not be made than have it be made wrong.

being an action Man fan I am very happy to hear about Action Man being included in this movie. While I would prefer not the ALEX Mann From the mainframe series, I am still happy to hear his inclusion
