G.I. Joe Movie GM Hummer HX Featured In Film

Posted on June 3, 2008 at 8:38 pm by DESTRO under G.I. Joe Movie

Not so long ago Hiss Tank.com reported that the Hummer HX will be used in the upcoming Live Action G.I.Joe Movie. Yesterday, on the set of the Transformers Movie 2 filming in Bethlehem PA, we got our first look at the HX Hummer compact two-door, four-passenger, open-air, extreme off-road capable vehicle with military weapons attached.

Sources tell us the HX Hummer will be one of the many GM Vehicles to be used in the film and will be known as the Cougar (Patrol Vehicle) or the Grizzly (Armored Truck). While this may not be the version we see in the G.I. Joe Movie how different could it really be?

Toyota coppied hummer but went compact and made a FJ cruiser which was a retro of the FJ 40 which was a copy of the jeep which was a copy of something else.

now GM is gonna copy the FJ and go compact to

which came first chicken or the egg haahah

I strongly believe that more pictures of upcoming GM vehicles will be surfacing soon.

I remember hearing somewhere that concept drawings were available somewhere...I'll have to ask around.

I read on the Wall Street Journal that GM is considering selling the Hummer brand. Apparently, with gas prices through the roof, sales of trucks are way down. So more losses and less profits.

I'd love to dump my gas guzzling SUV right now. Won't make that mistake again.

That Hummer does look pretty sweet though for a Joe vehicle. Hope to see more pics soon. Would love to see any concept drawings too.

Good to see a Land Cruiser enthusiast around here! My baby is an '89 FJ-62 w/ 4 inch lift, bull bar, sidebars, snorkel, lockers, etc. Doesn't get a lot of road time in these days b/c of gas prices . . .

    BAck on topic...
Fuzzy picture, but I can just make out a nice sleek vehicle that could icorporate plenty of cool features as a toy. Hope something similar does turn up in the Joe film.
