For your viewing pleasure we have a comparative review of the US and Canadian versions of the Polar SHARC With Ice Storm set from the 3rd wave of GI Joe Rise Of Cobra alpha vehicles. While wave 3 has yet to reach widespread release in the USA, the wave has been found in several places in Canada. Of all the wave 3 vehicles, the Polar SHARC was the newest, and thus, the highlight of this wave.

Rulz did a great review awhile ago, so this is just adding to it. I have about 4 or 6 pages of pictures, so please wait until I'm done.
I have both the Canadian and American releases and took some comparasion pictures.
Pictures first, review second.

First off, I like the rope-like twist ties that the Canadian package came with (is this common) compared to the harder ones that we get in the States.
The Polar SHARC is a decent little vehicle. THe rear fins move, which is a cool feature. The missile launcher gets mounted underneath. The only drawback is that peg behind the missile launcher prevents the SHARC from sitting flat, it's always on an angle.
What is the point of that peg?
Ice Storm can go in with his feet towards the front or facing down like Deep Six/Grand Slam in the original SHARC.
He can look out the hole on the bottom.
Ice Storm himself is a cool little franken-joe. That's a new head I believe.
In case anyone is wondering, I opened the Candadian one, not the American one. I was able to get 2 of the Canadian ones, one to open and one to display alongside my unreleased American version.
I wanted Icestorm so that is the only reason I would have gotten this. It deserved to be one of the Target mini-vehicles, not an Alpha.
Put as a Target and I think alot of people would have been troop building this to use as a mini-sub, which it is a very good one.
That's it, I'm done.

I like the Canadian ones better cause the filecards are pre-cut. Also, even the new Star Wars At-At has these soft ties instead of the hard ones. I believe it's the direction Hasbro is going. Makes life so much easier.
As for the Polar Sharc, the sticker on the canopy looks kinda stupid and I removed mine and put it inside. If you look on the instructions, it looks almost like it goes on the inside. The other thing is those yellow wing stickers don't stick on well for some reason on mine. I did however cut the rivets off on the locations that the stickers will go over so the sticker has a smooth surface to sit on. Had to do that to fit the ROC logos on as well.

I have to check, but it looks like the missile launcher may be modular and able to fit on the new VAMP and Ghost HAWK.
